BAHASA INGGRIS

1. Request letter or request letter in business is a formal letter written for


business purposes in terms of catalog requests, requests for price lists,
prospectuses, requests for details about goods, requests for suppliers, requests
for tenders, and requests for approval. Usually this letter is written by the
prospective buyer and addressed to the seller. An example of a request for
information and a sample of an item by a retail company to a supplier company
(supplier) using a letter of request.

Example:

Since Nana Doe left the company three months ago, I have been acting as
temporary night supervisor. I feel that I have done the job well, and am ready to
take on these responsibilities permanently.

I would appreciate your looking over my records, and trust that you will agree
that I merit the promotion and associated raise in salary. Thank you for your
consideration.

2.A complaint letter is a letter that is submitted if the customer is not satisfied
with the goods/services ordered, for example (Complaint Letter for Damage to
Goods)

Example:

To The Manager
Hotel Grande
Jalan ABCD

Dear Sirs,

I am writing this complaint about the incompatibility of the facilities at your


hotel. I am very disappointed with the facility.

First, the ad writes that provided fairly large room. But in reality it provided very
narrow room. so I am very dissatisfied.

More Advantages, in ad mentions that the availability of special bathroom. But it


was a bathroom that is served is a public bathroom.

Then, the room I occupy is very dirty, so I do not feel comfortable staying at your
hotel.
I am really disappointed and feel cheated by your hotel. I wish the ad would be
better if the ads are written as they are, so it does not deceive the other guests.

3.A thanking letter is made to express gratitude to an agency/organization


related to things that have been successfully achieved or done. The body of a
thank you letter is usually more concise and clear.

Example:

Subject:

Dear Mr. Jaemin,

I would like to send my appreciation for the opportunity that had been given to
me, and thank you for your time in the interview session yesterday. I enjoyed our
conversation about the field marketing position and appreciated learning more
about working with the brand marketing strategy team.

It sounds like a rewarding role, especially given the opportunities for


collaboration and advancement. I think my master’s degree in marketing
combined with my marketing experience would make me an excellent candidate
for the role.

That’s all from me. I look forward to discussing this opportunity with you more.

references.
