Ladies and gentlemen, education is more than filling your brain with important facts and
equation. It’s the process of developing yourself. Through ability to reason and make your
own judgements to empathise and socialise, and understand the world around you. As well as
your place in it. Education is also a human right. Which means that everybody should have an
education. Without education, it is hard for people to participate in society or to live the kind
of life they want.
Education isn't just about school. You can also learn and develop in many different ways
outside of the classroom, like traveling to new places, meeting different people, or even just
watching a really great movie that makes you think. So that everyone, whoever they are, can
live the life they want, reach their potential, and feel a sense of belonging.
Ladies and gentlemen whom I respect, there is something I want to tell you. It is the
important story of how Japan got back on its feet after the world war. They lost to the
Americans, Hirosima and Nagasaki were hit by bombs. Japan suffered massive losses. At that
time, the Japanese government immediately sent troops and data collectors. They were
assigned to provide assistance and also record how many teachers were still alive. Because
Japan believes, to fix all that requires teachers. To form a great nation, it takes teachers who
are the milestone of education. From that story we can take a note that education is the main
basis for picking up the future of the nation and state in a better direction.
We need to understand that education plays a very important role in determining one's future.
In fact, education is very influential in the running of a country. Education can open many
doors of opportunity for a person, provide access to a better life, provide the knowledge and
skills necessary to succeed in life. Through education, one can acquire the knowledge and
skills necessary to adapt to change and improve the ability to solve problems. In addition,
education also helps one develop social skills, such as the ability to cooperate, communicate
and lead. Therefore, here I would like to convey that the education that we are currently
pursuing is our provision in living life in the future.
Ladies and gentlemen, considering the importance of education for the life of the nation and
state as well as our personal lives, we make the best use of our time and prepare ourselves to
get the highest education possible so that we can achieve our dreams.
Ladies and gentlemen whom I respect, probably that is enough for the speech that I can
deliver on this occasion. If there is any mistake, both in my speech or my movements in
delivering the speech, I apologize profusely to all of you who have been present in this hall
and I really, really thank all of you.
