Notes:
When you turn on the the navigator, make sure you have read the following
precautions to avoid production failure caused by the improper operation:
1. Do not be left unattended without the system to be fixed, so as to avoid bumps or
sailing and other factors cause to serious damage.
2. Don’t use any power adapter is’t equipped with the production.This production
with or may result in different circuit design navigator does not work, Or it may due
to the different circuit design and the system does not work, or performance may be
affected to even damage the machine. This machine is used for dc voltage 18 V-36 V,
please do not exceed the voltage range.
3. Do not disassemble the navigator, the navigator will lose warranty.If the
Non-authorized maintenance engineer disassemble the navigator.
4. During using or cleaning, avoid any liquid or other objects fall into the system to
avoid causing damage or short circuit.
5 .Do not place the navigator and accessories in the humid environments or in the
directly sunlight area, keep the machine in a dry environment.
6. Power supply should be grounded to prevent static electricity and lightning; turn off
the power when the instrument temporarily does not use.
7. If the navigator is unable to locate a long time, first check whether the antenna
installation; whether it is bad, being blocked or whether there are other disturbances
around the antenna. The GPS antenna is the active antenna, you must make sure the
antenna cable connector is in good condition, no short circuit or open circuit, then
use the correct way to install the antenna.. You can not pull out the antenna arbitrarily
to avoid equipment damage in the boot state
8. The external temperature is too high, the navigator device may crash phenomenon,
please stop using the device, reboot. after recovery at room temperature,.
9. Using the liquid crystal display, to avoid direct sunlight LCD screen, the LCD
screen can be adjusted at any angle of elevation to get the best visual effects.
10.If hardwares failure occurs(such as power lines burned, machine damage or
foreign objects falling into the shell inside the machine, etc.) .Please turn off the
power immediately and contact your dealer timely.
11.Any accidents caused by using the navigator at sea , such as pecuniary loss or loss
of profits.Our company shall not take any legal and other responsibilities.

1-2 Installation instructions

HM-5817 is an integral whole machine, with 17 inches 1280 x1024 resolution of TFT
color LCD screen It should be fixed on the operating table Or embedded installation,
Connected to the associated auxiliary equipment，and adjusted to the Angle .

1-2-1 Installation and connection

This manual is suitable for HM-5817 models (detailed installation in the appendix
describes)

The whole external interface definition shown above:

The power connector is a 2-pin socket connection, The red is the positive
electrode of power. The black (or blue) is the negative electrode of power. The two
lines connected to the 24V DC power in the vessel.Please note the polarity.(Pin 1 is

positive, Pin 2 is negative)!

Tip: The air outlet connection must be tightened to avoid loose during the voyage

1-2-2 The installation of the GPS antenna

The screw on the antenna connector must be rotated in a clockwise direction to ensure
good contact,when you connect the GPS antenna.
When you want to disconnect theGPS, you can rotate the antenna connector
counter-clockwise and then disconnected.It can not receive GPS signal in the room
Antenna must to be installed around obstacles block on the ship.The nearby obstacles
may block the reception. of satellite signals.

1-3 Switch on the system

All ready, you can connect the power source, open the machine, open the host "Power
button",.You will see the interface welcome to use, the system startup, and GPS start
to locate position.
Note: it will take a long time to locate the position after first switching on for the
system

1-4 Keyboard introduces

The front panel buttons description：

It is the key of power for switch the machine and it is also the shortcuts to use to
adjust screen brightness. Left adjusted, Brightness to darken Right adjusted,
Brightness to brighten.

Enter into the AIS listfast
day/night switch
To quickly switch display mode, provides the function to swap day and night.
5: Sound volume
This key can be used to adjust the size of the volume system.You press the volume
key one time ,the volume will add 1.The green part represents the value of current
volume, as shown below:

In the normal state of navigation, ， 〖 prev 〗 key is to enter into the distance
function.when call the route guidance ,it can set a previous point to navigate. In the
input method state ,it is used to switch the input methods.

Normal,〖Next〗key is to enter into the Settings Display mode , when call the route
guidance ,it can set a next point to navigate. In the input method state ,it is used to
switch the input symbols and the characters.

Normal,It is used to save the current ship's position quickly.Just press the function key,
the system will save the current ship's position automatically.

This function keys can call the fast navigation window. This window showns all the
stored waypoints and routes in the system ,The labeled routes or waypoint will be

1-5 The background of GPS (Global

Positioning System)

1-5-1 GPS satellites:

GPS positioning system uses 24 satellites (21 plus 3 spare),satellite around the Earth
takes 11 hours 58 minutes. When all the satellites in their track, We can obtain
accurate positioning anywhere in the world all the day.

1-5-2. Positioning principle:

Your position can be calculated according to the distance of the two satellite-to-ship.
We Calculate the time of ships satellite signal to get the distance(300000 miles or
186000 miles per second). However, The clock signal is not synchronous between
satellites and GPS receiver in the actual using, So it need third satellite signal to
calculate your position.. The vessel's position is the intersection of the three distance.
Note:
1.the actual GPS positioning accuracy is decided by The United States defense
departmentt ,precision: RMS<15m.
2.The GPS which measure the latitude, longitude and altitude is the WGS-84, the
standard benchmark all the world.

1-5-3. GPS structure:

Space part: 24 satellite(6 tracks x 4 satellite) cluding preparations satellite。

Control part: The ground control station monitor and control the satellite.
The user part: GPS receiver.
Note:The direction angle Provided by the GPS (heading, etc) is the true north
direction, Use distinguish true north with the direction of the magnetic north
direction. The attention in use to distinguish between the real north direction and
the magnetic north direction

2-1 System Introduction

2-1-1 The main screen data

Note: The actual screen may be different from the legend.

l The ship's position data display window

Explanation ： The ship window is used to describe the ship of signal information
received by the GPS.When GPS data is valid, Ship's position of latitude and longitude
are displayed as white lettering; When GPS data is invalid, Ship's position of latitude
and longitude are displayed as dark red font.

Cursor data display window

Explanation：This window is used to describe the location of the cursor, which will
change with the change of the cursor position.

Note: When we measure the geographical distance between two points on the screen,
The cursor disembarkation of the distance and direction of the cursor disembarkation
are Indicating the distance and direction of two points being measured.

Satellite signal table window

Explanation ： Each independent yellow cylindrical is said to receive to a satellite,

purple fill is said to the signal strength value about receiving the satellite. Signal
strength for the full grid, Signal inaction space. It locates always need to receive three
or three more satellites.
Tip: The above four windows open or closed in accordance with the following
methods: Double-click on the remote control keyboard 〖menu,〗 keys, From the
【parameters set】select the【display switch】menu,Enter [set the display status] menu,
Then you can see the switches“satellite signa” “calendar card” “the cursor data
shown" “The ship data shown”..which Depend on you're your need to set.

2-2 Chart operating in the normal state of navigation

2-2-1 Mobile charts

You can press the arrow keys to move the cursor to view the chart..When the cursor
moves to the edge of the screen, the chart will automatically refresh.

2-2-2 Chart zoom in / out

You can press the〖enlarge〗key to zoom the charts and the〖narrow〗key to narrow
the charts on the remote control keyboard

2-2-3 Adjust the brightness

You can press the〖brightness〗to adjust the screen brightness on the remote control
keyboard.We machine provides 16 levels of brightness values.
Operation method:Press 〖 Brightness 〗 key to bring up the menu,(As shown
below),Press the left and right keys to adjust the screen brightness, It will take effect
immediately after adjusting,press the〖cancel〗key to exit the 【brightness】box. You
also can adjust the brightness by the power button on the front panel keypad.

2-2-4 Changing chart display mode

Press the〖after point〗to change the Chart display mode.The system provides 5 kinds
of Color Wheels which are normal,daylight, gray,night for you. You can choose to set
according to the time or your hobby.Sunny is the system automatically default mode.
Operation method: Press the〖after point〗to call the display mode setting(As shown
below),.press left and right arrow keys to select the color palette.The〖OK〗key to save
the settings and〖cancel〗to cancel the current settings.

2-2-5 Rotation chart

Press the〖rotation〗key to view the rotating chart.on the remote control keyboard. The
system provides four directions to choice.for you North up is the the system default.
In this case, please note that the compass red shown is south.direction of the map .

2-2-6 View Chart

Press〖chart〗to bring up the【View Chart】menu, Move the arrow keys to select the
area you want to see, And then〖OK〗key to view the chart of the region.
The system provides 52 regions of the charts for viewing.

2-3 The main menu operation

You presses the 〖menu〗key will be bring up the【main menu】on the Remote
keyboard In the normal state of navigation, As shown below:

Functions:The menu provides quickly access to route data and input route data..
Operation method:
Press 〖up〗、〖down〗to select the menu items on the Remote keyboard or input the
front number of menu items to enter its submenu directly.The〖cancel〗key to close
the current menu. The〖menu〗key to enter【Parameter Settings】
Functions: Modify the system settings.
Operation method: Press〖up〗、〖down〗to select the menu items,〖ok〗to enter
the next menu level,〖cancel〗to exit the【Parameter Settings】

2-4 Track Operations

To beigin ,select the【main menu】"Track List", then press the〖ok〗to enter the【track
list】menu. It showns the numbers of the tracks, name, range, he style and whether it
can be showned on the chart in this list.You presses the〖ok〗,it will pop-up【track
operations】menu in the blue check box..You can view, edit, and delete the tracks in
this menu.

2-4-1 Track switch and color

Press the〖switch〗In the track area on the remote control keyboard,you will turn on or
off the track. You can switch the color of the track currently being recorded.by
pressing
the〖color〗key You can also turn on or off the track recording through the 【track
operations】.The specific operation saw by the 3-4-2 section.

When change color, the recording track will be to redraw the modified color

2-4-2 Set the methods and parameters t of recording track

Method one: Setting the way of recording

select the "set" item in the 【track operations 】menu,you will enter the 【set track】
box.Then you can select the way of recording tracks by distance or time,and set the
time interval or distance interval.
Note: 1. When you Selects empty and non-empty track, the pop-up menu item is not
all the same.
2. When you choose from the way of recording tracks by distance ,the track will
be record In accordance with the set distance interval. Its maximum value is 0.999nm.

Second: Setting the recording track of way name, color,and style.

You selects the 【 Modify track 】 in the track menu,,It will enter into " the Logging
options of "Modify track -*”

Note: It sets the track of name, color, style track only effect for the single track
through the second way.However,the setting of Recording time,distance interval
Will take effect in all tracks.

2-4-3 Delete track

press〖ok〗in the 【track list 】menu ,it will pop-up【track operations】menu,. When
you select"delete track",it will delete the selected track,.If you choose "delete all
tracks",the whole tracks will be deleted.

2-5 Waypoint Operations

2-5-1 Add Waypoints

The system can store 6000 Waypoints.You can add new waypoinst through the
following methods
Method one:〖waypoint〗key to add
Please press the Arrow keys to move the cursor on the chart to the place needed to
add new waypoint.Then press 〖waypoint〗key .It will pop up the 【Edit waypoint】
box. Edit the locked state, name, color, symbol of the waypoint .Then press
"save".That’s all , the waypoint can be added.now.
Note: the number of waypoints cannot be modified.

Second: goes to Waypoint list to add

Please select a blank in the “Waypoint list" Then Select”add a waypoint" in the
【Waypoint operation】menu,It will pop-up【Edit waypoint】box, Edit it ,then "save".

Method three: enter to Waypoint list to batch add

1.Input the number of keys on the remote control,you will add / modify the
information at the cursor directly and quickly .Taking a operation of waypoint symbol,
color, Previous, Next by the arrow keys quickly .When the cursor moves to the next
one,It automatically saves the previous waypoint information
2. Select it through the number keys 1 and 2 quickly is shown below

Note:
1. If the current input waypoint information is incomplete, it will not continue.
2 . when the cursor is in the latitude and longitude ,You select 〖cancel〗to lead to be
zero quickly, it is to abandon the current date.The input data is invalid.
3.When the cursor in the Name field ,you can only delete the text.
Tip: in the chart mode, determined by the 〖〗 key in the shortcut menu, select "Add
route point.
Kill: If press the〖ok〗in the chart mode, then select "Add waypoint”in the shortcut
menu.You will add it quickly.

2-5-2 Modify Waypoints

Method one: modifing by selecting the waypoint on the chart

Please move the cursor,select the waypoint you want to modify.Then Air click in the
box will Pop-up on the screen. At this time, press the 〖 ok 〗 , pop-up the menu of
waypoint operation, Select “modify waypoint”to enter into the edit box to modify.

Second: modify from the waypoint list

Press the Arrow keys〖↑〗
〖↓〗key to select one needed to be modified in the waypoint
list. press the〖ok〗,to pop-up the【Waypoint operation 】menu.Then select "modify
the waypoint" item, press〖ok〗

Method three: shortcuts

Please press the〖 〗key to enter the quickly edit mode in the waypoint list , and then
modifies.
Note:You must select the "navigation" or "Save" button of the menu after
editing.Then press 〖ok〗to save the modified values.

2-5-3 Delete Waypoint

l Delete the single waypoint

Please select the waypoint you want to delete in the Waypoints list,then press the〖ok〗,
choose "delete waypoint"in the 【waypoint operation 】..The System will pop-up a
confirmation box of warning.The waypoint will be deleted afte pressing the〖ok〗.

l Delete all the waypoints

Please select one line ,then press the〖ok〗in the Waypoints list, choose "delete all"in
the 【waypoint operation】.The System will pop-up a confirmation warning.box of
clear waypoints .The waypoints will be deleted afte pressing the〖ok〗
Note:
The following waypoints could’t be deleted alone:
1、Waypoint coordinate data is empty
2、Destinations on the planned route
3、Locked waypoints
Kill:,select the waypoint you want to delete on the chart, when there is a Checked
box ,press the〖ok〗key in the pop-up menu, then select "Delete waypoint”to delete.

2-5-4 Invoke Waypoints

Method one: invoke waypoint on the chart

Please move the cursor,select the waypoint you want to invoke.Then air click in the
box will Pop-up on the screen. At this time, press the 〖 ok 〗 , pop-up the menu of
waypoint operation, Select “invoke waypoint” Navigation window will be displayed
on the screen.

Method second: select the waypoint navigation from the waypoint list

Method three: Call by keyboard directly

Press the〖call〗, then pop-up 【call navigationdata】, press the 〖↑〗〖↓〗to enter
number column.to input the number of waypoint . press 〖 ok 〗 to the Waypoint
navigation state.

Note:If you call the empty waypoint, the name will be display "invalid waypoint”

2-6 Marker Operations

2-6-1 Add Markers

The system can store 10000 markers.You can add new markers through the
following methods
Method one:〖marker〗key to add
Please press the Arrow keys to move the cursor on the chart to the place needed to
add new marker.Then press〖marker〗key .It will pop up the【Edit marker】box. Then
press "save".That’s all , the marker can be added.now.
Second: goes to Marker list to add
Please select a blank in the “Marker list" Then Select”add marker " in the【Marker
operation】menu,It will pop-up【Edit marker】box, Edit it ,then "save".

1.Input the number of keys on the remote control,you will add / modify the marker
information at the cursor directly and quickly .Taking a operation of waypoint symbol,
color,previous, next by the arrow keys quickly .When the cursor moves to the next
one,It automatically saves the previous marker information.
2. Select it through the number keys 1 and 2 quickly is shown below.

Note:
1. If the current input marker information is incomplete, it will not continue.
2 When the cursor is in the latitude and longitude ,You select 〖cancel〗to lead to be
zero quickly, it is to abandon the current date.The input data is invalid.
3.When the cursor in the Name field ,you can only delete the text.
Kill: If press the 〖 ok 〗 in the chart mode, then select "Add marker”in the shortcut

2-6-2 Modify Markers

Method one: modifing by selecting the marker on the chart

Please move the cursor,select the marker you want to modify.Then the message box
will Pop-up on the screen. At this time, press the〖ok〗, pop-up the menu of marker
operation, Select “modify marker”to enter into the edit box to modify.

Second: modify from the Marker List

Press the Arrow keys〖↑〗〖↓〗 key to select one needed to be modified in the marker
list. press the〖ok〗to pop-up the【Marker operation 】menu.Then select "modify the

Method three: shortcuts

Please press the〖 〗key to enter the quickly edit mode in the marker list, and then
modifies.
Note: The number of markers can not be modified You must select the "Save" button
of the menu after editing..Then press〖ok〗to save the modified values.

2-6-3 Delete Markers

l Delete the single marker

Please select the marker you want to delete in the Marker List,then press the〖ok〗,
choose "Remove Marker "in the 【 marker operation 】 ..The System will pop-up a
message box .The marker will be deleted afte pressing the〖ok〗.

l Delete all the markers

Please select one line ,then press the〖ok〗in the Marker List, choose "delete all"in the
【marker operation】.The System will pop-up a confirmation warning.box of clear
markers .The markers will be deleted afte pressing the〖ok〗
Note: Locked waypoints couldn’t be deleted
Kill:,select the marker you want to delete on the chart, when there is a Checked
box ,press the〖ok〗key in the pop-up menu, then select "Delete markert”to delete.

2-7 The Beacons operation

2-7-1 Add Beacons

The system can store 10000 beacons.You can add new beacons through the
following methods
Method one: goes to beacons list to add
Please select a blank in the “Beacons list" Then Select”Add beacon " in the【Beacons
operation】menu,It will pop-up【Setting beacon】box, Edit it ,then "save".

Method two: enter to Beacons list to batch add

l Delete all the beacons

Note:
The following beacons could’t be deleted:
1.Beacon coordinate data is empty
2.Locked waypoints

Kill: select the beacon you want to delete on the chart, when there is a Checked
box ,press the〖ok〗key in the pop-up menu, then select "Delete beacon t”to delete.

2-7-4 Move Beacon

Press select the beacon you want to move on the chart, when there is a checked
box ,press the〖ok〗 in the pop-up menu, then select "Move beacon”in the pop-up
【beacon operation】.Then move the cursor to a new position.and press〖ok〗.

2-8 The planned routes Operations

2-8-1 Add Routes

The system can store 200 routes.You can add new routes.through the following
methods
Method one:〖route〗key to add
Please press the Arrow keys to move the cursor on the chart to the place needed to
add new route.Then press〖route〗key . The green "cross" of the cursor will become
"the *".You can press 〖 waypoint 〗 or 〖 ok 〗 to increase one waypoint to generate
routes.then move the cursor to add another .If you presses the〖route〗,It will save the

plan routes which inputed..If you presses 〖 cancel 〗 ,It will not save the route but
preserve the inputed points saved to the Waypoint List..
Second: goes to Route List to add
Please select a blank in the Route list" Then Select”add a route " in the 【 Route
operation】menu,It will pop-up【Edit route】box, Edit it ,then "save".
As shown below:

Operation method: Please press the〖ok〗to modify, the route’s name and the 〖 〗
to switch between "waypoint numbers" and "route path".The flashing box says the
selected waypoint. You choose the waypoint on the left column ,then press 〖ok〗,It
will be added to the route. Please press the 〖↓〗 to choose "save" after editing.Then
press〖ok〗to be saved and exit. Choose "cancel" is to give up the course editor and
quiting.

2-8-2 Modify the routes

Press the Arrow keys〖↑〗〖↓〗 key to select one needed to be modified in the route
list. press the〖ok〗to pop-up the【Route operation】menu.Then select the " modify the
route ", press〖ok〗.It will pop-up the【Edit route】box.

Kill 1: Remove a point on the route

①Place the cursor into the "route path" column (right), if the cursor is located in the
left column, press the〖 〗to switch to the right .
② Move the cursor to the waypoints need to be deleted . Press〖ok〗, the color of
waypoint is green, It said that it has been selected.
③ press 〖↙〗to remove the waypointson on the directional pad.
Kill 2: add new waypoints before the Selected waypoint
1 ② with the skills of the first two steps is the same as the kill1
③ At this time press the 〖 ok 〗 , the cursor switch to the left column.choose the
waypoints you want to add and then press the〖ok〗.
Note: 1.The selected waypoints must be saved, if we choose waypoints not
stored .It can’t be added to the route.
2. Consecutive waypoints can’t be repeated.
3. The route must be contain more than or equal to two waypoints in order to be
saved.

2-8-3 Delete the routes

Please select the route r you want to delete in the Route r List,then press the〖ok〗,
choose "delete route"in the 【Route operation】. It will delete the one route.
If you choose "delete all"in the 【Route operation】. All the markers will be deleted
afte pressing the〖ok〗.

2-8-4 Invoke the route

When you use the plan routes navigation,,there are forward navigation and reverse
navigation two patterns.
Method one: goes into the Route list menu, select routes navigation
Press the 〖menu〗on the remote control e keyboard, call up the 【main menu】, from
the main menu, select " Route List ", press 〖ok〗 into the 【route list】 menu, select
a non-empty route, press the 〖 ok 〗 , select " forward navigation" or "reverse
navigation" in the【route operations】.
Method two: Called by keyboard directly
Press the〖call 〗, then pop-up 【call navigation data】.At this time ,you can call
waypoints to navigation.and press the 〖→〗key to switch to the forward route calls or
〖↓〗to enter
the reverse route calls on the remote control keyboard. Then press the〖↑〗
number column.to input the number of routes. press 〖ok〗to the route navigation
state. As shown below:

Note:1. Select the first line of the" call navigation data",press〖←〗〖→〗to select
the forward route navigation or the reverse route navigation.
2. The name of waypoints and routes can’t be modified.

2-8-5 Select waypoints in the route

You can select a waypoint through the following methods in the route under the status
of the planned route navigation
● Select the next waypoint in the normal navigation state. Press〖*〗,at this time ,the
meaning of the button.is next.
● Select the previous waypoint in the normal navigation state. Press 〖 # 〗 ,at this
time ,the meaning of the button.is previous.

2-9 AIS Operation

The system can connect AIS equipment,.The position of the ships will dynamic
display on the chart form the output of AIS. So you can intuitive understand the
position, heading, speed, MMSI, call sign, name, size of the nearby ships,.thus it offer
the reference and basis for the collision and the navigation plan.

2-9-1 View the other Vessels on the chart

Note: 1.The response time of the Vessels’position is connected with the status of the
vessel. the speed faster, the response time is shorter. When the distance of the ship
from the own ship is less than 2 nautical miles. the ship will become a red and black
flashing, otherwise green and black flashing.
2. The static of the ship information, such as the name of vessel, call sign etc, return

once about 3-6 minutes,.So when some ships have no name, its static information
waited for the other ship returning to display. If the ships don’t update the datas in 9
minutes,we think the ships have left the range of identifing AIS or the AIS has shut
down, so the data information of the ship will be deleted.
3.The AIS is always used by many ships are not standard, connected to the GPS
antenna and , the compass.It also does not enter the ship’s information lead to the
system cann’t recognize the position, speed, heading, name of vessels..

2-9-2 View the AIS vessel information

Please press the 〖 menu 〗 to the 【 main menu 】 .Then select “AIS vessel
information” , press the 〖ok〗to enter.And select “AIS vessel information” As shown
in figure demonstration.

The date that all of the ship identifid will displayed in data bar.At this time .You can

use the arrow keys to move up and down to view the date of the ships. The meaning
of the data you can see the corresponding head date.It can display the parameters that
vessel of nine yards (MMSI), name, call sign, position, direction, speed, the distance
from the Vessel's own position,
Note: some static data receive. the information about six minutes

The sort of AIS list

1.It is in ascending and descending order according to the MMSI number,distance
from the self ship , the concrete speed value.
2. When the menu is shown below, press the〖ok〗.The sort of AIS list will from
small to large by the value of MMSI . The self vessel does not participate in sorting.

3、The sort of distance and speed is the same as the MSSI.

You can refer to the meaning of following corresponding head date
Distance: the distance between the ship and the target ship, the distance unit is
nautical mile.
Directions: from the position of the target ship to the self ship.
Length: The length of the self vessel..
Width: The width of the self vessel.。

2-9-3 View the information of Vessel on the chart

Please move the cursor to the position of the ship, the information of ship will be
displayed at this time, as shown below:

Note: It would be best to shut down the vessel's position tracking function when you
view the information. Otherwise, the center of ship's position will be automatically
located on the chart.

2-9-4 Hardware connection

Communication protocol: Please set the rate of output AIS to 38400 bits. It is
connected with the SARACOM, AIS SI-10,IO 30 feet (ground) and 31 feet (data) to
date output. If the AIS signal is no input,please reverse the polarity of feet 7,and feet
8.When properly connected, the three letters "AIS". Will be displayed in the screen
above.

Functions:

Withdraw from the state.

Note: .If the system calls up the route to navigate, you press the〖previous〗will not
enter into the distance measurement but let the navigation waypoint to reset a
previous waypoint on the planned route.

2-11-5 Material Inquires: 【Port info.】

Functions:
The menu offers to inquire the port information about 58 ports in the country.It
includes a variety of information about port’s geographical location,geographical
structure,tides, navigation marks, impaired airlines things, sailing tips.It will be to let
you know the port during the voyage

2-13 The note in the navigation

2-13-1 Waypoint navigation

If you call up a waypoint to navigation.It will draw a arrival alarm ring near the
waypoint. The value of alarm ring is setted in the 【Alarm settings】.When the boat
Sails into the alarm ring and the alarm switch is opened.The system will ring
automatic voice alarm and display the text alarm on the chart.

2-13-2 The The planned route navigation

If the system has turned on the offset alarm switch in a certain scale, There are two

When the ship's position is beyond the yaw range. The system will take a alam “You
have offset guide route ”to you.
Kill:If you want to change course currently waypoint transferred to the later waypoint

press the〖next〗on the remote control keyboard.On the contrary,you can press the
〖previous〗to use the previous waypoint to be navigated in the route.

2-14 【Input method】 menu

It can input Chinese and punctuation. Chinese input method provides only pinyin
input.The input method is the same as the currently popular operating methods used
by mobile phone.
Chinese character input mode:
Function: Input Chinese characters and punctuation.
Mode descriptions: This system provides four input mode. Each mode will take a tip
at the top right of the input method window. The chinese model provides selection of
words. English capital, lowercase and digital only have the tip.
Letters input method:
Please put the input mode switch to English letters either uppercase or lowercase
mode. if you want to input "A",you simply press the numeric keys "2" once. if you
want to input "B". you continuous press the numeric keys "2" twice. if you want to
input "C". you continuous press the numeric keys "2" three times. So,other letters
input methods. are the same.
Call method:Please select a name and press〖ok〗to have a Cursor.Then press 〖#〗
to bring up the input method window and press〖#〗again to switch the input modes.
Operation method:
Press the the number keys to input pinyin combination ,Press 〖↓〗to enter the chinese
characters constituency. Press〖←〗〖→〗〖↑〗〖↓〗to select the Chinese characters.
Press〖↘〗〖↗〗to page and〖↙〗to delete pinyin input. Press the〖#〗to switch the
input modes and the〖*〗to insert punctuation.Press〖ok〗to select the current Chinese
characters and 〖menu 〗to not only exit the current menu but also switch into the
digital input mode.
