The aim of this module is to provide students with an understanding of the processes, methods,
techniques and tools that organizations use to manage their information systems projects.

17. Intended Learning Outcomes


On successful completion of this module the student should be able to:
a) Explain the foundations of project management
b) Describe the phases of project management lifecycle
c) Manage project teams
d) Initiate projects, including project selection and defining project scope
e) Manage project schedules, resources, quality and procurement process using appropriate
techniques and tools
f) Close projects, including administrative, personnel, and contractual closure.
g) Explain mechanisms for dealing with legal issues in complex project contexts
