Introduction:

In the midst of the current affairs of the world, the Israeli genocide of Palestinians is the most
highlighted one. In the ongoing attack of Israel on Palestine, the world is the process of division
between countries that support one side or the other. The Global North comprising of Britain,
Germany, France and United Nations are on top of the lists that are supporting Israel (Patel,
2023). The number of countries supporting Israel includes US (United States), UK (United
Kingdom), Australia, France, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, Norway, India, Canada and Spain ,
on the basis on “self defense” (Arora, 2023). Every day, we are witnessing a massacre of
thousands of kids, women and men of all ages. So, in these trying times we often ask ourselves
what can we do as a lay man? We ask how we can help our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

What can be done?

The world runs on the power game. The rules of this game are simple; of you have power or
powerful allies you win. The ongoing genocide is the best example that can be given in the
contemporary times. The world is silent because of the power relations with the Global
Economy also known as USA (United States of America). Every passing minute is killing so many
innocent lives and we all are accountable for the brutal acts that are happening. We as Muslims
and as humans are going down towards the road of guilt while asking how we can help those
who are oppressed.

Now it’s time to stop asking and start doing. We are already posting and reposting on social
media platform. We are using “their” own technologies to voice those who need it. We are the
voices of kareem (shaheed) , Plestia Alaqad, Motaz Aziz, Bissan, we have tried to become the
voices of those mothers that have lost their children, of those fathers who have collected the
pieces of the bodies of their family members, of the children who have lost their childhood.

WE ARE TRYING TO LEAVE AN IMPACT ON THE COUNTRIES THAT ARE SUPPORTING THIS
GENOCIDE BY BYCOTTING THEIR PRODUCTS. This may seem as a small thing to do but it leaves
a great effect, if not then why are we facing a shadow ban on Instagram. We have made a list of
the companies and products that we are using in our daily lives that are benefitting the
supporters of Israel. The main companies include:
