GRADE 9 – Set A
I. Identify what is being asked.
1. It is one way to communicate with a computer, typing a key from it sends small portion of data to tell the
computer which key is pressed.
2. It processes the data from the motherboard and sends the appropriate information to the monitor for it to be
displayed.
3. It is a data storage device that can provide fast read and write access, it is also volatile, which means that it
loses all the stored data when power is lost.
4. It can take an image sent by a computer and deliver it onto a sheet of paper and does this by using the
data from the computer, and by either using toner or ink, it deposits one of these in a controlled and
accurate manner to form the image.
5. These are standard output devices used with computer systems that enable the listener to listen to a sound
as an outcome.
6. It is a machine that can be programmed to carry out sequences of arithmetic or logical operations and
computations automatically.
7. One of four computer keys marked with an up, down, left, or right arrow, used for moving
the cursor.
8. A computer key that removes characters. This key is sometimes simply referred to as del.
9. A special button on a computer keyboard that is used for a particular operation in a
program. The keys near the top of a keyboard marked ‘F1’ to ‘F12’.
