Aruba InstantOn

Objective
This tutorial aims to configure Aruba equipment to work with the ZOOXWIFI hotspot.

Prerequisites
 Firmware with updated version
 The equipment must have full Internet access

Some adjustments may be necessary due the client peculiar network settings. if this is the
case, contact the Zoox Homologation Team.

1. Configuring Network
1.2 Main Screen>> Network

1.3 Click on Add >>Tab -->Identification

Network Type: Weireless
Use: Guest
Network Name: Your_chosen_SSID
Scrol Down

Security: Open

Guest Portal: Checked


remain on same page and go to Options tab

1.4 Add>>Options

Show Network: Checked

IP and network assignment: Specific to this wireless network

OBS: Network ip addressing is recommended that you leave the default that Aruba assigns, in
this case 172.XXX.XXX.XXX

Subnet Mask: Recommended 512


Radio: 2.4GHz and 5GHz

Leave Schedule default and move on to Network Access tab


1.5 Add>>Network Access

On Network access check te Restrict Access radio button

Leave all others tabs on this section default and hit save button(It may take a while to set all
configurations done)

After Aruba has finished to apply all setting, it'll take you Back to Identification tab
Check if Active is checked

Right down the Guest Portal Check Box, now you’ll' see a Guest Portal Personalization Link,
just click on it and you will be taken to the Guest Portal configuration page.
2. Configuring Hotspot

2.1 After choosing the Zoox Provider, you need to choose your region, and then Allow your
preferred Social Login if wanted

2.2 On the field New Domain Name, indicated by the arrow, fill each line with the URL
provided Here: Walled Garden
After that, you’ll need to fill the form to Request Your Configuration

5. Configuring ZOOX DASHBOARD


Adding Plans
Go to Menu>Register>Plans>Add

Setting Parameters:
1- Set a name for your new plan, for exemple: “Visitors 10MB”

2- Set a time for your connection, this can be: “Min, Hours or Days”

3- The Download and Upload Speed option only works on Mikrotik routers. If you use a Router,
Controller or Firewall for redirection to the captive portal other than Mikrotik, the QOS must be
configured directly on it.

4- Save Settings

Adding Routers
Go to Menu>Register>Hotspot>Router>Add

Setting Parameters:
1- Give a Router name

2- Select the vendor of your router

3- Add the Mac Address of your Router

4- Save Settings

Adding Hotspot
Go to Menu>Register>Hotspot>Hotspot>Add
Setting Parameters:
1- The Name field should be the same name you gave to your WIFI network (SSID)

2- Router; Select the router that you created on previous steps

3- Select the plan that you created on previous steps

4- Save Setings
There it is! Your Aruba Instant On is set up and ready to use with ZOOXWIFI!
