    MILITARY PROFESSIONALISM

    MEN WHO ADOPT THE PROFESSION OF ARMS SUBMIT THEIR OWN


    FREE WILL TO A LAW OF PERPETUAL CONTRAIN. THEY REJECT THEIR

    THEIR NORMAL LIVES. IN A WORLD OF COMMAND, THEY MUST RISE,
    MARCH, RUN, ENDURE BAD WHEATHER, GO WITHOUT SLEEP OR FOOD,
    BE ISOLATED IN SOME DISTANT POSTS, WORK UNTIL THEY DROP, THEY
    HAVE CEASED TO BE THE MASTER OF THEIR ON FATE.IF THEY DROP ON
    THEIR TRACKS, IF THEIR ASHES ARE SCATTERED IN THE FORE WINDS,
    THAT’S ARE ALL PARTS OR PARCEL OF THEIR JOB.
    PLEDGE OF LOYALTY

    IF YOU EORK FOR A MEN IN HEAVENS NAME WORK FOR


    HIM, SPEAK WELL OF HIM, AND STAND BY THE
    INSTITUTIONS HE REPRESENNTS. REMEMBER AN OUNCH OG

    MUST GROWL AND ETERNALLY FIND FAULT, RESIGN YOUR
    POSISTION AND WHEN YOU ARE ON THE OUTSIDE DAMN TO

    YOU AWAY AND PROBABLY YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHY.

    THE ALERT AND OBSERVE EVERYTHING THAT TAKES PLACE
    WITHIN SIGHT OR HEARING.
    3. TO REPORT ALL VIOLATION OF ORDERS IM INTRUCTED TO
    ENFORCED.
    4. TO REPEAT ALL CALLS, FROM MY POST MORE DISTANT FROM THE
    GUARD HOUSE THAN MY OWN.
    5. TO QUIT MY POST ONLY WHEN PROPERLY RELIEVED.
    6. TO RECEIVED, OBEY AND PASS TO THE SENTINEL WHO RELIEVES
    ME, ALL ORDERS FROM THE COMMANDING OFFICER, OFFICER
    TODAY, OFFICER AND NON, COMMISSION OFFICERS OF THE
    GUARD HOUSE ONLY.
    7. TO TALK TO NO ONE, EXCEPT ON THE LINE OF DUTY.
    8. TO GIVE ALARM INCASE OF FIRE OR DISORDER.
    9. TO CALL THE COMMANDER OF RELIEF IN ANY CASE NOT COVERED
    BY INTRUCTION.
    10. TO SALUTE ALL OFFICERS, COLORS AND UNDERSTAND NOT
    CASE.
    11. TO BE ESPECIALLY WATCHFUL AT NIGHT, DURING THE TIME
    OF CHALLENGING, TO CHALLENGE ALL PERSONS ON OR NEAR MY
    POST AND TO ALLOW NO ONE TO PASS WITHOUT PROPER
    AUTHORITY.
