Instructions: Using the Venn diagram below, compare and contrast each of the project management
process groups by noting their differences (45 points).
Note: The answer will not fit the Venn Diagram above, so I will just provide the answer below for better
and clearer reading/understanding.
Closing process – The management works on the project's evaluation or end phase during this
procedure. This is usually where they gained their knowledge so that they could apply it with their own
profession.
Closing process is obviously the project's final phase, whereas initiators are the stages of the process that
lead to an idea.
Initiating process – It is where the concept will be formed during this process. The concepts that each
project manager and its employees come up with in order to complete a project. During this procedure,
the project's principal goal will be revealed.
As previously stated, the initiating idea is formed from an idea and informs the project's goals, whereas
the planning process determines the resources available to complete the project.
Planning process – It's where they develop a strategy for the entire project throughout this stage. This
includes the projected time frame, as well as the cost of goods and resources.
Basically, the Planning Phase includes the project's resources, whereas the Executing Process executes
the project and makes it physically or systematically happen.
Executing process – Execute is the key word in this approach. By carrying out the planned idea and
making it a reality.
In comparison to Monitoring and Controlling, the Executing procedure is more time-consuming. The
Executing process, on the other hand, completes the project by performing it in person or in a structured
way, and the Monitoring and Controlling procedure is the maintenance and support of each and every
project that allows them to sustain the project's success.
in Monitoring and Controlling process – This is the stage in the project where the project initiators,
including project managers, must maintain consistency to complete and complete their project
successfully. If there are casualties, managers can innovate by monitoring the situation.
