Adjective
A word used with a noun to describe or point out, the person, animal, place or thing which the noun
names, or to tell the number or quantity, is called an Adjective. So we may define an Adjective as a word
used with a noun to add something for its meaning.
In sentence 1, ‘clever’ shows what kind of girl Sita is; or, in other words, ‘clever’ describes the girl Sita.
KINDS OF ADJECTIVES
POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES : The most commonly used possessive adjectives are my,
your, his, her, its, our, their, and whose. In order, these adjectives correspond to the
pronouns I, you, he, she, it, we, they, and who. As their name suggests, possessive
adjectives are often used to express possession or ownership.
FOR EX : The kids are mine.
The money was really theirs for the taking.
We shall have what is rightfully ours .
