1. What are the current and relevant issues in relation to our Philippine curriculum?
The current issues in relation to the curriculum right now is the implementation of
modular and online classes again because of the extreme heat that we encounter
here in the Philippines also some materials when it comes to MTB is that the
language used in the book that the students can’t understand. Implementation of
MTB needs to have more preparation and have some good materials for the
teachers.
2. With this curriculum framework, do you think these issues will be addressed?
Yes, because that framework provides possible outcomes that will help the
students learn and better understand the lesson. With that framework it will benefit
the students to develop appropriate cognitive and reasoning skills enabling
children to operate equally in different language or the language that they are
comfortable with.
3. What are the teaching and learning priorities of the framework that set the
foundation of the framework?
With that framework the end goal of making Filipino children lifelong learners in
their L1 or Mother tongue, L2 Filipino the national language and L3 English the
global language, the learners are more than prepared to develop the
competencies in the different learning areas.
