REPORT ON EXAMINATION OF BRAIN

PROTOCOL :

Multiplanner plain MRI of brain done by taking T1, T2, FLAIR, GRE, DWI and other dedicated sequences.

FINDINGS :

Both cerebral hemispheres are normal in size and show no abnormal signal intensity.

Centrum semi-ovale and white matter tracts are normal.

Corpus callosum is normal in size and shape with normal signal pattern.

Sulci and gyri are normal.

Cisterns and ventricles are normal with septum in midline.

Thalamus, basal ganglia, brain stem and cerebellum are normal.

Pituitary gland and sellar region is unremarkable

No significant abnormality is noted in the optic chiasm or optic nerve.

No evidence of IIH seen.

Mucosal thickening of bilateral maxillary and ethmoidal sinuses — suggestive of Sinusitis.

IMPRESSION :

MRI of brain reveals no detectable significant abnormality.

MR-VENOGRAM OF CEREBRAL VEINS

PROTOCOL :

MR-venogram without contrast done by taking GRE sources images & dedicated TOF venography sequences.

FINDINGS :

SUPERIOR CORTICAL VEINS -

No abnormal dilatation seen.

Distribution pattern is normal.

Vein of Trolard & vein of Labbe are normal.

DEEP CEREBRAL VEINS -

Deep cerebral veins including internal cerebral veins, septal veins and veins of Galen appear normal.

DURAL VENOUS SINUSES -

Superior sagittal sinus, straight sinus, inferior sagittal sinus and lateral sinuses appear normal in course & calibre. No intraluminal
thrombus seen.

IMPRESSION :

MR-venogram findings are within normal limits.
