“e-bike and trycicle” that also a very useful transport going to Baywalk which is the main attraction adto
nga village. Gitawag na syag “Baywalk” kay naay wide dagat dinha and that dagat is doul sya sa road and
agianan pud gyud nas mga tao everyday nay tao mo agi dinha even cars and motorcycles as well. Also
dili lang dagat ang naa didto naa pud mga vendors right in front mismo sa dagat but ang dagat naa pud
small cement pang boundary lang sa brown sand ana and then after ana nga boundary naa dira mag
place ang mga vendors everyday naa sila dra nga mag spot sa ilang ipang baligya. Even that cement
boundary mismo pede na siya malakwan and malingkuran taking pictures sa sea view as well. Vendors at
morning selling seafoods coming exactly from the sea of baywalk, there are fisherman nga mangadlawn
og panagat estimated around 4-5 am morning, ang mga nakuha nila sa dagat ila ng e display early
morning probably starting 6 am. Different types of fresh seafoods and seaweeds nga e display are
talaba, guso, lato, and specially fishes. Also they will display and sell the most known nila na specialty sa
talisay which is lechon baboy. And at night ther will be also vendors selling street and local foods. Those
are like we call as kwek-kwek, tempura, BBQ, juices like buko juice and flavored juice and even
fried/cooked seafoods as well. People going there to experience the foods that are affordable and not
just that but also to chill and relax at the baywalk.
Unsay need ug intervention ug unsay dili na :
needed interventions are:

- naay mga basura sometimes sa sand nga dili pud malikayan na byaan and also mga basura dapit sa mga
vendors most especially mga ginamit na plastic or cup sa juices na dili ma tarong og labay after using or
eating.
- Niya ang spot sa mga vendors are not settled, dili fix ilang store like manually lang siya e display pud
but gubot sya tanawon
- also lack of lights because vendors only have their own light for their foods to display kay ang mga
poste hanap2 or pondir or sometimes ma off2 lang og kalit tungod sad kay duol sa dagat nya ang hangin
is kusog pud especially magabie.
- ang road kay dusty kaayu dijud malikayan nga walay adlaw dili mag abog adto and that is near pa gyud
sa mga vendors and knowing ang mga store2 sa vendors dili close which means open ra ang pag display
sa foods nila
- mag flood pud ang road tungod kay ang drainage is guba pa, kada rain mag flood tho dili siya maabot
sa mga spot sa vendors but maagian gyud ng flooded road sa mga tao and vehicles.
- walay parking lot for the vehicles and motorcycles na mo visit sa baywalk at night, doesn’t have enough
space to park most especially ig gabie ting street food time na mo crowded na sya ang mga vehicles way
ka parkingan which it will cost traffic sa road padong and pagawas sa village.
- walay trash bins para sa mga use na sudlanan sa foods na labayanan sa mga tao sa baywalk.
- no security guard at the beach like walay naga tanaw daily dira para sa mga tao na mangaligo at any
time.
- no water for sanitization like way tarong kahugasanan para sa mga gamiton na plato baso and even
hands para sa mo kaon or para sa mga tag iya sa vendors.
Dili na need og intervention kay :
- rules ang redulations, there are rules at the baywalk that is provided for the community (however gahi
lang gyud ulo ang uban tao) but there is already given na rules and regulations.
- Naay trash truck na provided from the officials and stakeholders and that trash collector will visit the
community and especaily at the baywalk once a week
Stakeholders ( is there a unity?)
- yes, the local and officials most especialy the brgy officials and local at the community kay naa silay
plan in improving the baywalk and the community, the unity that they’re having is about fixing the
intervention na needed they’re still currently working on it.
- Vendors has their own schedule (4pm -10 pm.) when to display and when to closes as per policy of the
officials. And also they have rules to do CLAYGO. In short they have unity regarding the policy and
regulation for the vendors.
SWOT analysis: (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)
- Strengths : Additional income many people will come it give a lot of opportunities to people have extra
income. For the consumer side less effort to go out na mo kaon sa gawas kay pwede raman sila mo kaon
dira for example residence from deca home, maka save silag kwarta og pamilite kay malakaw ra and kay
makakaon raman sila plus maka busog ang foods
- weaknesses : basura and traffic is the main weakness most especially sa residence , since gamay ang
area sa baywalk naay mopalit naka sakyanan or motor or even e bike, mo park silla sa other side which is
atbang sa vendors and knowing gamay rapud ang road is the reason maka cause og traffic.
- Opportunities in baywalk: is employment and convenience for food consumptions.
- Threats : Chaos of the vendors due to the pricing of the foods and their issues minimal not a big deal
arguing due to the “alcohols” are not allowed to display or sell
Phase 2:
Community profiling (pila ang residents, demography)

- range from 900-1050 residents but at the same time ma usab pila ka residents sa village kay people
come ang go man usahay ma vacant ang houses kay mo balhin and sometimes naa nasad lain mo puyo.
Geographic of the location:

- Ang baywalk naay allowed na gitas-on sa road/lugar na patindahan lng gyud. From the paliko sya or
padong sa baywall up until sa gate in village probably in 400 meters (from corner to the gate of village)
inshort Baywalk size is in 400 meters.
Phase 3:
Pick at least 3 problems that needs iterventions nga ato focusan

- fix the drainage to prevent floods (already starting fixing it according sa konsehal)
- parking lot for vehicles
- tarong nga lights for the vendors
Research about sustainable actions nga mo fit ato nga intervention

(like principles, pillars, etc):
dapat SMART ( specific, measurable, achievable/attainable, Releveant, Time- bound)
3 pillars:
 environmental sustainability- It aims to minimize the negative impacts and maximize
the positive ones. Negative impacts to a destination include economic leakage,
damage to the natural environment and overcrowding to name a few.
 social sustainability- focuses on specific aspects such as community engagement,
local perceptions, and social impacts. It emphasizes the involvement of local
communities in tourism development and the promotion of their well-being.
 economic sustainability- refers to practices designed to create the long-term
economic development of a company or nation while also managing the
environmental, social, and cultural aspects of its activities
