Installation and Operation Manual for the

Floating System-BC008F V7.0
1. Introduction
BC008F floating system is a floating platform suitable for large-scale civil and
commercial installation. It consists of floaters and bracket. The floater is made of high-
density polyethylene (HDPE), which is insoluble in organic solvents and resistant to acid,
alkali, and salt corrosion. The bracket adopts high-quality design components, which
improves the installation accuracy and saves installation time and cost with its pre-
installation features. The system has the advantages of easy and convenient installation,
stable structure, and long service life.
Please review this manual carefully before installing the floating system. This manual
provides the following contents: (1) installation planning; (2) product installation instructions.
Please use the floating system according to this manual. Please pay attention to safety
when installation, and please construct in accordance with relevant local safety regulations.
The staff should following the bellowing regulations:
 all including any local or national building codes that may be subject to this
manual;
 Ensure that products such as brackets are suitable for the specific installation
and installation environment;
 Please use the accessories provided by Empery Solar and the installation tools
you carry. (If other accessories are used instead of Empery Solar ones for
construction, our company will not be responsible for this);
 How to recycle: following by local regulations;
 How to disassemble: correspond to the installation steps;
 Ensure no less than two professional solar panel installers;
 Make sure that the installation of electrical related equipment is done by
professional electricians.
Safety instructions in the process of construction.

1. Staff working on the water is required to wear life jackets and helmet.
2. In case of severe weather such as strong wind, waves, dense fog, etc., water
operations are not allowed.
3. The staff must have sufficient safety awareness during the construction process,
establish the idea of safety first, have a strong sense of responsibility, and
promptly deal with and report potential safety hazards to ensure the smooth
progress of the construction.

3.2 Installation size

All drawings and dimensions in this manual are for reference only. Since the Empery Solar floating
system can be optimally designed according to the specific conditions of each project and generate
corresponding engineering dimensions, in different projects, the section and length dimensions of the
main components of the system may be different from the dimensions in this manual. The installation
procedures detailed in this manual remain the same regardless of component size changes. If any
modification or replacement of the system is required at the construction site in a method different from
that specified in the Empery Solar construction drawings, please provide the relevant drawings or
sketches to Empery Solar for review and approval before modification.

3.3 Preparation before construction
3.3.1 Temporary storage area for floaters
The floaters should be stacked in the area closest to the construction platform to facilitate secondary
transportation. The size of the temporary storage area shall be comprehensively considered according to
the installation progress and delivery speed.
3.3.2 Building of construction platform
The location of the construction platform is selected according to the position of the red line of the
project, the arrangement of the floating array and the situation on the shore of the water. According to
the selected suitable position, the construction platform shall make a slope of 5 degrees (the best slope
is recommended) along the junction of the water bank, and the ground (or embankment) part shall be
treated accordingly. According to the actual situation, the scaffolding type is adopted, and the wooden
boards are laid directly after laying the wooden boards or the shore field leveling (requires a certain
roughness but no sharp protrusions). Construction platform size: 20 meters * 20 meters (facing to the
water surface), constructing according to 6 components (north-south direction). The construction
platform can be divided into two groups. The 20-meter width of the construction platform needs to be
adjusted according to the site conditions, which only affects the installation progress. And make 4
temporary fixing piles at the junction of the water bank, which are used for temporary fixing after the
floating array is putting onto the water.

4. Installation Instruction
4.1 Installation of walkway floaters

1。Arrange the aisle floaters in a row in the same direction (the blowing mouth is
uniformly facing to the right). The lugs are are staggered and stacked on top of each
other, fixing with PE bolts and nuts, as shown in Figure 1.

4.2 Installation of equipment floater

With the air outlet of the equipment floater facing up, the lug of the equipment
floater is placed in the middle of the aisle floater and fixed with PE bolts and nuts, as
shown in Figure 2.

4.3 Connection of the array

As shown in Figure 3, it is connected into a small array (adjust the length of the
aisle according to the size of the module)

4.4 Connecting C-Formed Steel with Floaters

Place the C-Formed steel in the floater installation slot and fasten it with
fasteners as shown in Figure 4.

4.5 Connection of C-Formed Steel

Place the C-formed steel connector in the middle of the two C-shaped steel
connections and use M10 plastic wing nuts and M10 hexagon bolts to fix them. As
shown in Figure 5

4.6 Installation of Modules

1. First lock the modules and the front and back racks according to the
predetermined position, as shown in Figure 6

2. Lock the modules with the installed racks on the C-Formed steel according to
the position as shown in Figure 7

4.7 Installation of Anchorer

Lock the anchoring truss as shown in Figure 8, and then connect the anchor line
to the truss. Select the anchoring method and its anchor point according to the
design.

4.8 Installation of cable bracket
Install the cable bracket to the mounting hole of equipment floater, as shown in Figure 9

Install the equipment bracket on the floater according to the drawing as shown
in Figure 10.

The installation is complete by now. (due to the version change, if there is minor changes
in the later installation, no additional instruction will be made)
