A Day at the Beach


Jerry and John decided to go to the beach. It was hot outside.
They packed their bags with towels and sunscreen. They also prepared
some sandwiches, fruits, and cold drinks for their outing. When they
arrived at the beach, they were excited to play in the sand and build
sandcastles. They saw other children playing and swimming together.
It was a fun day and a memorable experience they had!

Sunday’s Best
Jake wakes up early morning every Sunday. He is so excited
when Sunday comes. He prepares his polo shirt and pants to
wear. He goes to church with his parents to attend holy mass.
He listens attentively to the priest and participates in mass
singing. He takes communion as well. He loves to go to church
every Sunday.
Sunday is the best day for Jake.

My Family
We are seven in the family. My father is a farmer. Mother takes care
of the children. During weekends, I clean our house and water the plants.
My elder sister Nita, helps mother washes clothes. Rene, my elder brother
helps father feeds the chickens. We help each other in our school work
like answering our Self- Learning Home Task. I teach my younger brother
in his Math lessons.
We are a happy family.

Jun is my best friend. We are neighbors and we used to play kites


during summer. We are also classmates in Grade One. He is a smart boy
and obedient to his parents. He helps his father fixes messy things.
Last summer, due to pandemic, Jun stayed at home and me too. I
missed playing kites with him. Mother would always tell me not to go
outside to avoid being contacted with CORONA VIRUS-19. She told me
to wash my hands frequently and wear face mask.
This pandemic is discouraging at times, but we choose to celebrate
the small and big wins during this time.

Abel’s mother was busy preparing food. She baked birthday cake
for Abel. She also gave Abel a new bike on his birthday. Abel was very
happy on his special day.
