Honsetly, while watching this movie, I felt something inside me saying I shouldn't be afraid to speak up for
what I believe is right, even if most people don't agree with me. So I think about my family, I'm the eldest,
so I often keep my thoughts and words to myself. It's like I'm surrounded by quietness, and I really want to
share how I feel, but I don't know who to share it with.
If I relate it to what I witnessed in the movie I watched which is the GomBurZa, it brings many thoughts to
people, especially to me, because of what these three Filipino priests Mariano Gomez went through and
what they represent. The execution of three martyr priest Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto
Zamora on February 17, 1872, serves as a shameless example of the injustice that can occur when those
in positions of authority abuse it. It reminds me of the great sacrifice’s individuals are willing to make for the
freedom and betterment of their country. These priests were brave; they stood up for what they believed in,
even if it meant their lives. This courage is a great illustration of nationalism, because it shows an
extraordinary love and passion for one's country and a desire to make it a better place for everyone.
I was only in elementary school when I was last taught this lesson, and I admit that I never listened to the
lessons especially in the "Araling Panlipunan" subject, I even fell asleep sometimes! But when I entered
senior high school, we had a field trip where we watched a movie on January 18, 2024 held at Xentro Mall
Calapan or Robinson. And when the movie started, I didn't understand it at first, until my mind gradually
absorbed what was happening, now I know that their story plays an important part in history by helping us
to remember the past and draw lessons from it so that we don't repeat its mistakes. Fighting for your rights
is important, particularly when it feels like the chances are stacked against you. It demonstrates how
essential it is to stand up to inequality and fight for everyone's equality and human rights. The story of

nationalism which stands for the love and pride for one's country. History can be seen as the importance of
remembering and learning from the past. Like what I’ve said earlier, the fight for rights, which represents
the struggle for equality and human rights. And unity, serves the purpose of coming together to stand
against oppression. Watching it, I realized, witnessed, and reflected on a lot more. I know I can apply it in
real life, and make gomburza an inspiration.
Who is that one character in the film which give a big impact your life. Why?
Cedrick Juan as Padre José Apolonio Burgos y García really caught my attention. He was a good illustrator
at the University of Santo Tomas by Felipe Buencamino and Paciano Mercado. I was crying in the movie
theater when the three priests were being executed by garrote in Luneta, also known in Tagalog as
Bagumbayan, on February 17, 1872, and the people around them even accompanied it saying that they
were innocent, which is true. I really admired him and searched his name on Instagram, I even had a crush
on him but it is for appreciation only for his role, and when I went home I was stunned because I couldn't
accept that he died in the movie, and until now I still can't get it out of my mind.
They stood up for what was right and battled for the independence of our country, the Philippines. Cedrick
Juan, as Padre Burgos, demonstrated how one individual can make a significant difference in the world,
even under the most terrifying circumstances. Padre Burgos really showed his courage. He knew he could
face serious consequences for confronting those in authority, but he did it anyway because he believed it
was the right thing to do. Watching Cedrick Juan play this character taught me the importance of standing
up for what you believe in, even when it's hard and scary. I thought about what kind of person I want to be. I
want to be brave as him.
Because if Jose Burgos is compared to me, I can say that we have a big difference, because I am a coward

Yes there are many other movies that are better and suit for gen z's. but if we talk about tradition, and
content in the Philippines, I invite you to watch gomburza, you will see a lot of different cultures, trade, and
social issues related to authorities and priest. ] Okay so now, let’s imagine watching a movie about real-life
heroes who used their brains, courage, and hearts to fight for what was right, rather than heroes who wear
capes or had superpowers. The GOMBURZA movie I watched is like traveling back in time to the
Philippines in the 1800s, where three valiant priests named Mariano Gomes de los Angeles, José Apolonio
Burgos y García, Jacinto Zamora y del Rosario, who stood up to unfair treatment and fought for their
people's rights and freedom. What I particularly like about this film is how it demonstrates that you don't
have to be huge and strong to make a difference in the world. These priests were regular men, but they
demonstrated incredible bravery.

While I was on the terrace of our house, thinking for something good to say in my movie analysis, it came
to my mind, and I imagined I have partnered with my seatmate to produce the greatest presentation
possible for a project in which I am deeply involved. Though all I have is distinct thoughts and abilities, I
should overcome obstacles. My originality seems to be limited by the teacher's rigorous limits and the
doubts of some of your classmates. In spite of these challenges, me and my partner is like —like
Gomburza—remain committed to our goal.

what’s on my mind. So in this scenario, I am like Mariano Gomez, the wise and experienced member who
leads my group with patience and understanding. Next is full of fire enthusiasm and inventive ideas, like
Jose Burgos, always willing to speak up and push limits. And the third one, Jacinto Zamora, serves as the
group's peacemaker, ensuring harmony and seeking diplomatic solutions to issues.
Then boom, despite the pressures you work diligently, combining your skills to create something truly
meaningful. It is simply a declaration of togetherness, determination, and the strength of standing together
for what you believe in. This movie teaches us all a vital lesson about collaboration, resilience, and the
value of battling for your creative voice, reflecting Gomburza's historical significance on the Philippines'
