Functional Requirements

Inventory Management System is an online software program that fulfills the

requirements of different supplies for standard stock analysis. It provides users with a

graphical interface to handle regular transactions as well as historical records.

Management reports such as monthly admissions, monthly deliveries, and monthly

returns are also given. The centralized database is managed through this program so

that any changes made at a location are automatically observed. This is an online tool

that allows more than one person to simultaneously log into the system and use the

program. This application aims to reduce the manual work necessary to handle the

transactions and historical data used in different products. This program also provides

users with an interface to display information, such as the regular stock statements of

all supplies. This department must manage various stocks before storing items, it must

keep the details of all products such as product ID, product location, product net

weight, product manager, and start date. Whenever a product enters a specific

inventory, it is important to store the information such as product ID, supplier name,

date of supply, item name, receipt number, quantity, received by, and bill reviewed by in

the inward register of that stock manager.

Non-Functional Requirements

Manual inventory management is extremely labor-intensive during operations.

Such a strategy involves constant supervision from warehouse employees to ensure that

proper inventory transaction is accounted for and registered and that items are stored
at the required stocking levels. Computerized inventory solutions allow more efficient

business operations to utilize the time that can be spent on tracking inventory levels.

Inventory counting, record updating, and reporting manually can lead to an error due to

miscounting the number of goods or failing to record any transactions, or simply

miscounting the number of goods. The automated inventory management system, in

turn, allows companies to reduce the risk of mistakes.
