Analysis of Caius Cassius Character
Analysis of Caius Cassius Character
Caius Cassius plays one of the most important roles in William Shakespeare s play,
Julius Caesar , which is centred round the assassination of the Roman dictator. The
driving force behind the conspiracy is Cassius though there are others who are unhappy
with the state of affairs under the prevailing system. Yet, they do not take an active part
in the design to get rid of powerful Caesar. So, it is not incorrect to state that the chief
protagonist of the assassination plot is no one but Caius Cassius.

Sleek headed men, and such as sleep o nights:
Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look;

Public speaking has always been very hard for me, I ve never been the type to stand in
front of an audience and speak or do a presentation. No matter how many times I ve
done presentations I ve always get nervous or shy and always forget what I rehearsed.
In the military I was training Nco, everytime we had a new marine check in to our unit
or are shop. I would be the one to give them and the A presentation on what is expected
of them and also give them information about the unit and our shop. In my opinion the
Marine Corp prepared me for public speaking, especially if you where lower rank and
your senior enlisted would throw you to the wolves and send you up there to give the ...

What do you want to accomplish in this course?
Whether I like it or not I been given the opportunity to talk to large crowds like a
squadron or just a couple of people in the class. My problems have always been the
same getting shy, anxiety, and even sweating. Learn to analyze the size of the audience,
I want to be able to captivate my audience and overall I just need to find the confidence
in myself to do it.
How would you plan to improve weak areas to accomplish your goals? Overall no
matter how many times I do a rehearsal or practice I always get stage fright. Stage
fright is my weakest area I have done rehearsals and private or with one or two people
but when it comes to the bigger picture I always freeze. I need to learn to speak with
confidence and try to get the audience involved instead of rushing the presentation or
speaking very softly so no one hears me I need to be able to let the audience know that I
am confident and the information that I am sharing is worth their time to listen and learn
October Revolution Problems
Lenin and Problems After the October Revolution
The initial difficulties faced by the new Soviet Union were to severe that its survival
seemed almost miraculous. The remains of the czarist regime left Lenin to face a country
wrought with war, devastated economically.
Russia s involvement in World War I, followed by its Civil War, wide spread famine
and a change in political and social ideology were the problems confronting Lenin after
the October Revolution. Lenin did succeed in ending both the war with Germany and the
Civil War for Russia. Yet, the economic and social aspectsof the revolution can be more
critically assessed.
The economic and social problems that arose from the end of the czarist regime were
dealt with by Lenin initially unsuccessfully. War communism, a forced socialized
economic policy began with the confiscation of surplus grain.
It then extended to all other products. Abusive detachments fought peasant resistance
with the terror of the Red Army, and in 1919 when they gained control, with the
Extraordinary Commission (Cheka). What Lenin had thought would bring the triumph of
communism rendered only misery and disorder. The Kronstadt
Revolt in February, 1921 is an example of the indignation felt by those that saw the
Bolshevik s policies as too oppressive. Finally, Lenin sees that a transition period is
necessary, and denounces war communism for its impractical severity. Up until this point
the disastrous economic and social problems of the nation were not dealt with
successfully.
Both World War I and the Civil War left rampant destruction in Russia s agricultural
production. Drought as well as the failure of war communism led to wide spread famine.
At this point Lenin introduced gradual economic measures that began as agricultural
policies. According to British historian E.H. Carr,
Lenin s New Economic Policy increased from food production to trade, to the
What Is The Obligation To Endure
In the story The Obligation to Endure you may ask yourself, how do we live with each
other and with the world the answer to that question is we can live with each other and
with the world by making sure we remember the long term effects of the chemical
products we use. Meanwhile in the story Thinking Like a Mountain you make ask
yourself another question what does thinking like a mountain mean. Thinking like a
means that the mountain has stood for a long time and understands the balance of nature
and how everything serves a purpose. One way in which we can live with each other and
with the world is to endure ourselves on the far reaching effect of chemical pesticides.

She writes about the harmful consequences of lethal materials being released into the
environment. She uses horrifying evidence, a passionate tone, audience, and the overall
structure of her essay to express to her readers that the pollution created by man wounds
the earth. There are many different ways that pollution can harm the environment, from
the nuclear explosions discharging toxic chemicals into the air, to the venomous
pesticides sprayed on plants that kills vegetation and sickens cattle. In Thinking Like a
Mountain, the author, Aldo Leopold, writes of the importance of wildlife preservation
through examples of the symbiotic relationship of animals and plant life with a
mountain. He asks the reader to perceive the processes of a mountainous environment in
an unusual way. Aldo Leopold wants the reader to think like a mountain instead of
thinking of only the immediate, or as the hunter did. Taking away one feature of an
ecosystem may eventually destroy everything else that that environment is composed of.
Nature and wildness is essential for the well being of life on this

The Positive And Negative Effects Of Gentrification
Gentrification is a planned or unplanned process where wealthy individuals displace
poor individuals from their areas of living by purchasing the property and later
upgrading it through modernization and renovation (Brown Saracino, 2013). Ruth Glass
coined the term Gentrification in her book London: Aspects of Change in reference to
the influx of wealthy individuals to poorly inhabited areas in central London in 1964
(Brown Saracino, 2013). These rich individuals were referred to as gentryhence the term
gentrification.
Gentrification has been a controversial issue both in urban planning and politics primarily
due to the displacement of poor people by the rich folks (Shaw Hagemans, 2015).
Many individuals have viewed gentrification as an illegal act that should be avoided at
all costs. On the other hand, another group of people believe that gentrification is the
way forward to promoting growth and development. With such contrasting ideas, this
paper is going to take a look at gentrification from a positive and negative perspective, its
effects, and how it can be prevented or contained. Apart from this, the paper will also
address the following questions.
What is the societal, public health, and economic impact of gentrification?
Does gentrification play a role in racial segregation?
Body
As a process, gentrification has had both a negative and positive impact on the society as
well as affected the economic status of the involved countries or towns. As a way
Analysis Of The Unforgiven I
Metallica is a heavy metal band that began in 1981. While the last song released by the
band was in 2008, the group is still widely popular. Perhaps the most popular songs are
the The Unforgiven trilogy. The Unforgiven I is one of Metallica s most popular singles,
behind Enter Sandman which is on the same album. Metallicas lead singer James Hetfield
wrote the three songs about his life experiences, which is different from most of Metallica
s work. The majority of Metallica s hits promote individuality and non conformism
(Nys 41). This trilogy of songs however is a story of heartbreak. They tell an
overwhelmingly emotional story of resentment towards those who tried to control
him (Irwin 7). James wrote these songs to pour out his emotions and express how he
felt. Hetfield was born into a deeply religious family. His mother was a Christian, and
she believed heavily that if one is meant to be healed, God will heal that person ( Ten
things You May Not Know about James Hetfield ). As a result of this belief, when she
was diagnosed with cancer, she did not seek medical help. She waited for God to heal
her. Unfortunately, after waiting for God to heal her, she did not beat cancer and she
died. This event fueled The Unforgiven trilogy and led to another work, The God that
Failed. The Unforgiven I speaks about James s parents and how he felt during his
childhood. The Unforgiven II speaks about love and betrayal. The Unforgiven III speaks
about forgiveness and
