Today's accountant is a sophisticated strategic advisor to businesses and organizations and must possess a solid understanding of business functions and processes, a strong knowledge of business and related disciplines, as well as the technical, personal and societal skills and competencies necessary for sound decision-making. There are many career choices for accounting professionals and include public accounting, auditing and assurance services, financial planning, business and management consulting, finance and treasury, among others. The Bachelor of Accounting at the Sampoerna School of Business offers students the opportunity to acquire and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to function effectively in today's business environment and to satisfy the educational requirements of professional accounting bodies. On successful completion of the Bachelor of Accounting, graduates will be able to:
Demonstrate competencies, professional skills and knowledge in relation to contemporary accounting issues and practices; Identify and demonstrate professional skills and knowledge in economics, management, finance, and business information systems; Critically analyze and think strategically in relation to accounting and business issues and problems; Apply appropriate professional and analytical skills to address specific accounting and business issues for effective decision making; Identify and critically evaluate professional accounting and business issues emerging from developments in practice and accounting regulations; and Analyze the impact of aspects of the law on accounting practice including the ethical, legal and professional environments.

I.
