IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous Activity : Pass the Box and Pick
lesson or presenting the Directions
new lesson - A box filled with papers that contains the names of the students
will be pass to a first student of choice
- The first student will pick a paper and will read the name
indicated in the paper picked
- The student whose name reflected in the paper will share
his/her experiences/learnings with the activity done in the
previous meeting
- After the first student has shared his/her experiences/learnings,
he/she will be the one to pick a piece of paper and so on…
(The teacher can have his/her own number of students to share their
experiences/learnings)
B. Establishing a purpose - The teacher will show pictures of the following sampling
for the lesson materials, tools and equipment and learners will be ask to name
the picture presented

Answer :
A. Knives
B. Scissors
C. Baklad
D. Filleting Knives
E. Earthen Pots
F. Wooden Salting Vat

C. Presenting examples/ The teacher will present to the class the topic on “using sampling
instances of the new materials, tools and equipment” as well as the competencies and
lesson objectives to be achieved for the session
D. Discussing new Activity :
concepts and practicing  The teacher will group learners and will give them set of
new skills #1 materials: name, picture and uses of sampling materials (Refer
to Appendix 1.Hand Out_Using sampling materials, tools
and equipment)
 The learners will be given time to discuss among themselves
and will match the name, picture and uses of sampling
materials
 After the time given, they are going to present their output to
the class

71
 The teacher will then facilitate the discussion through giving
students additional information’s, correcting if there are some
misconceptions
E. Discussing new
concepts and practicing
new skills #2
F. Developing mastery Activity : Report Defects in Source Materials
(Leads to Formative Directions
Assessment 3) - The class will be group into eight (8) groups
- The teacher will place all the materials, tools and equipments in
a spacious area in order for the learners to move freely in
checking defects
- Each group must have an activity sheet (Refer to Appendix
2.Activity Sheet) and a pencil
- Learners will check the tools one by one to see defects and
abnormalities
- All observations must be reflected in the activity sheet given
- After all the learners have checked the materials, tools and
equipments they will then present their output to the class
- If there are misconceptions, the teacher will correct all of those
- Learners output will be assessed through a scoring rubric
attached (Refer to Appendix 3.Scoring Rubric)
G. Finding practical Guide Question:
applications of concepts - How equipments, materials and tools in your house helped you
in your daily activities?
H. Making generalizations The teacher will ask learners with the following questions:
and abstractions about - What are the sampling materials, tools and equipment used in
the lesson fish processing?
- How do you use this materials, tools and equipment?
- Why it is important to properly check if the materials, tools and
equipment have defects?
I. Evaluating learning
Paper Pen Test
(Refer to Appendix 4.Quiz)
J. Agreement
V. REMARKS
VI. REFELECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about
your students’ progress this week. What works? What else needs to be
done to help the students learn? Identify what help your instructional
supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can ask
them relevant questions.
A. No. of learners who
earned 80% in the
evaluation
B. No. of learners who
require additional
activities for
remediation who scored
below 80%
C. Did the remedial

72
lessons work
D. No. of learners who
have caught up with the
lesson
E. No. of learners who
continue to require
remediation
F. Which of my teaching
strategies worked well?
Why did these work?
G. What difficulties did I
encounter which my
principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
H. What innovation or
localized materials did I
use/discover which I
wish to share with other
teachers?
