MAE AND
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
a) Explain the functions of the circulatory system.
b) Identify the parts of circulatory system in the charts using sticky notes; and
c) Value the importance of circulatory system on our body.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
a) Topic: Circulatory System
b) Reference/s: K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Guide 4 p. 106; Into the Future
Science and Health 6 page 2-18
c) Learning Materials: Television for Power point presentation, charts, pictures,
video clip, and sticky notes.
III. LEARNING PROCEDURES
a) Opening Prayer, Attendance, Review Previous Topic.
b) Motivation: Heartbeat Drummers; encourage students to match their drum beat
to their heart rate as they thump away and count the drum beat that correspond
the heart rate.
c) Lesson Proper:
1) Discuss what is circulatory system.
Circulatory System- is the transport system of the body. It consists of
the heart, blood, blood vessels that work together to provide food
and oxygen to the body cells.
2) Show pictures and video about the parts of the circulatory system together
with their functions.
3) Recitations.
The human circulatory system functions to transport blood and
oxygen from the lungs to the various tissues of the body. The heart
pumps the blood throughout the body. (encourage students to ask
question about the lesson).
4) Application.
Identify the parts of circulatory system in the charts using sticky
notes.
IV. EVALUATION
Answer the following question.
1. What are the main parts of the circulatory system?
2. What are the functions of each part?
3. Is the presence of the circulatory system important? Why?
4. Is it important to learn facts about the circulatory system? Why?
V. ASSIGNMENT
Please study in advance about the reproductive system.
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:
a) Solves routine and non- routine problems involving temperature in real-
life situations.
b) Writes solutions on routine and non- routine problems involving
temperature in real-life situations; and
c) Shows accuracy in getting the temperature of one’s body.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
a) Topic: Solving Routine and Non- Routine Problems involving Temperature
e) How did you find the activity? How were you able to find the answer to
the problem? In how many ways were you able to arrive at the answer?
Are there ways by which you can solve the given problems?
The first problem is an example of a routine problem. Routine problem
solving concerns solving problems that are useful for daily living ( in the
present or future).
The second problem is an example of a non-routine problem. Non-
routine problem solving is mostly concerned with developing pupil’s
mathematical reasoning power and fostering the understanding that
mathematics is a creative endeavor. This kind of problem helps the
teacher to motivate and challenge their pupils.
Some strategies used in these kind of problems are:
a. Guess and Check
b. Drawing /Diagram/Illustration
c. Using patterns
d. Use the 4-Step Plan
f) Generalization. How do you solve routine and non- routine word problem
solving involving temperature in real life situation? To solve routine
problems involving temperature in real life situations, follow these steps:
1.Understand: Know what is asked, Know the given facts, If any,
determine the hidden questions
2. Plan: Determine the operation to be used, Write the number sentence
3. Solve: Use the operation to solve
4. Check and Look Back: Write the correct answer
Non routine problems can be solved without using a
standard procedure.
They can be solved by drawing a picture, using a number line,
acting out, making a table, and others .
g) Application. Read and analyze the problem. Then, fill in the blanks from
the choices below.
Enzo’s temperature lowered by 1.75◦c after he was given a sponge bath.
Before the bath, his body temperature was 40.25◦C.What is his body
temperature now?
a. Understand
Know what is asked ____________
Know the given facts ___________
b. Plan
Operation to be used ___________
Number Sentence _____________
c. Solve
Show the solution______________
d. Check
Verify if the answer is correct _______________
1. The recorded temperatures for 5 days were 21◦C, 27◦C, 29.2◦C,29.8◦C and 30◦C.What
was the average temperature?
2. A freezer is set at 0◦C. Corina reset it to 8.5◦C. Did the temperature in the freezer rise
or drop? By how many degree?
V. ASSIGNMENT
Solve the following problems. Show the solution in your notebook.
1. From the normal body temperature, Joseph’s temperature rose by 2,5◦c due to high
fever. What is Joseph’s body temperature?
2. The temperature reading is 42◦C. It changed to 53.5◦C.by how much temperature was
increased?
I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a) Classify the Constellation Patterns;
b) Illustrate the Patterns through seat work; and
c) Value the importance of constellation in our galaxy .
II. SUBJECT MATTER
a) Topic: Earth and Space
Sub-topic: Constellation Patterns
b) Reference/s: Pasquito, a et. Al.(2020). Exploring Innovative Science Today. Unit
4: Chapter 13- lesson 1. Page 216-217
c) Learning Materials: Television for powerpoint presentation, manila paper or
cartolina (if TV is not available), pictures, video clip, and activity sheets.
III. LEARNING PROCEDURE
a) Opening Prayer, Attendance, Review Previous Topic.
b) Motivation. Below are jumbled words related to stars or constellation. Arrange the
letters to find the correct answer. Use the hint to easily find the answer.
ATSROERMON
Hint: person who study celestial bodies.
TARSS
Hint: groups that forms a patterns, and that is made up of plasma
or hot gases.
VANO REPUS
Hint: event happened when stars exploded
UNS
Hint: the center of the solar system.
c) Lesson proper.
1) Discuss what is Constellation Patterns.
Stars are celestial bodies that can be seen during night time. It is made up
of plasma or hot gases held together by gravitational force.
There are eighty-eight(88) recognized constellation patterns in the night
sky by the IAU or International Astronomical Unit. In 88 constellation we
have categorized group or the classification of each constellation based on
their location and season.
2) Show pictures and video about the parts of the Constellation Patterns.
3) Recitation.
Why is it importance of constellation in our galaxy?
The importance of constellation is to guide and assist our astronomer to
locate certain stars. They are often used as landmarks in the sky too.
(Encourage students to ask question.)
4) Application. Answer and explain each pattern.
1.
2.
