The Retrofix system moves completely on total system approach. It’s important to have all the range including

specify in their specification BOQ. To make the product basket filled, glass fiber & carbon fiber wrap, its primer
& saturant, carbon laminate, laminate adhesive are the essential item ready for the market
Why FRP system?

FRP is high strength & high modulus fiber with harden-able liquid matrix. Fiber and matrix retain their physical
and chemical properties-yet the combination of properties can’t be achieved by either of the constituent
acting alone. The reason of opting FRP system related to structural issues & design deficiency.

Carbon Fibre: Carbon fibre fabric ShaliWrap® CF are available in different stiffness grade, they all have linear
elastic behaviour with high strength with standard elastic modulus 230 Gpa. The purpose of usage dynamic
and constant loading condition for the active strengthening. The ShaliWrap CF material shows acid and alkali
resistant, UV stable, high fatigue resistant and does not suffer stress corrosion. ShaliWrap CF available from
200 /300/400/600/900 gsm grades.
Glass Fibre: Glass fibre fabric ShaliWrap® GF are available and general purpose of strengthening, the elastic
modulus is 76Gpa, used for passive type of strengthening example for seismic strengthening. This is cost
effective- optimized solution, the disadvantages of low stiffness can be compensated by many layers. The most
usable grade is 900/600 GSM
Primer for wrapping: ShaliBond® GCW 340 is the substrate primer applied on the required substrate. The
coverage is around 2 m2/kg. The material is little viscous having advantage of good attachment of saturated
wrap over the applied primer on an overhead of large vertical surface application.
Saturant: ShaliBond ®GCW 310 is a low viscous material for saturating the fabric to make laminate before
placing on surface having applied primer in a tacky condition.
Carbon laminate: ShaliLam® C, the carbon laminate strips are manufactured using a pultrusion process, where
thousands of parallel filaments are pulled through the impregnated bath, formed into strips under heat, and
hardened. The modulus of elasticity is 165 GPa with available width are 50mm/100 mm having thicknesses 1.4
mm
ShaliBond® Lam: ShaliBond® Lam® is a two component, solvent free, thixotropic, structural adhesive
especially formulated for bonding carbon fiber ShaliLam C laminates to concrete substrates
