    ADMISSION TO FYUGP B.A. & B.SC.

    PROGRAMME UNDER
    GAUHATI UNIVERSITY (as per NEP-2020)

    Admission procedure is purely online. An applicant has to go through the SAMARTH


    Admission Portal following the link https://assamadmission.samarth.ac.in

    Important Instructions to enter the SAMARTH admission portal


    1. Name and other details entered by the applicant need to be the same as in the Class X Board
    Marksheet
    2. Applicant can log in to the admission portal through their registered email address, only.
    3. Applicant must use his own active email address.
    4. The Email address provided by the applicant must be functional and the applicant must have
    access to it throughout the admission process.
    5. Applicants are encouraged to use latest version of Google Chrome web browser for filling the
    application form.

    Documents to upload in SAMARTH


    1. Recent passport size photograph image
    2. Scan Copy of Signature of the student
    3. Scan Copy of Domicile Certificate
    4. Scan Copy of ID proof
    5. Scan Copy of HSLC/ Equivalent Admit Card
    6. Scan Copy of HSLC/ Equivalent Marksheet
    7. Scan Copy of HS/ Equivalent Registration Certificate
    8. Scan Copy of HS/ Equivalent Marksheet
    9. Scan Copy of Bank Pass Book
    10. Scan Copy of Cast Certificate (if applicable)
    11. Scan Copy of Disability Certificate (if applicable)
    12. Scan Copy of TGL or Ex-TGL Certificate (if applicable)
    Once the online application is over, students can take admission in his/her college of choice as per merit
    list published by the different colleges.

    A student who has to apply for admission in B.A./ B.Sc. programme in our college he/she

    must have to apply in our college portal www.jncollegeonline.co.in also.


    Important Dates regarding B.A./B.Sc. Admission
     Starting date of submission of online application in SAMARTH : 14th June, 2023
     Last date for submission of the online Application in SAMARTH : 23rd June, 2023
     Publication of 1st Merit List: 4th July, 2023
     Date of Admission from 1st Merit List : 5th July, 2023 at college
     End of the process of admission from the 1st Merit List: 7th July, 2023
     Publication of 2nd Merit List: 8th July, 2023 (if necessary)
     Date of Admission from 2nd Merit List : 10th July, 2023 at college
     End of the process of admission from the 2nd Merit List: 11th July, 2023
     Publication of 3rd Merit List: 12th July, 2023 (if necessary)
     Date of Admission from 3rd Merit List : 13th & 14th July, 2023 at college
     End of the process of admission from the 3rd Merit List: 15th July, 2023
     Spot offline admission: 17th to 18th July, 2023

    According to new NEP-FYUGP pattern of Guwahati University, a student of B.A./ B.Sc. 1st
    semester has to select three core subjects and four common subjects.

    Value Added Course (VAC), Multi-Disciplinary Course (MLT), Ability Enhancement Course
    (AEC) and Skill Enhancement Course (SEC)

    Important Note for Arts Stream:


    1. Two MIL course (Assamese & Bodo ) are not allowed as core courses.
    2. The subject that a student will choose as Major Subject from 4th Semester, He/She must
    has to select the same subject in Core-1 in 1st semester
    3. Same subject cannot be repeated in Core 1/Core 2/Core 3

    Important Notes for Science Stream:


    1. If a student opts PHYSICS-1 in Core-1 option, then he must has to choose MATHEMATICS-
    2 in Core-2 option.
    2. If a student opts BOTANY-1 in Core-1 option, then he must has to choose CHEMISTRY-2 in
    Core-2 option.
    3. If a student opts ZOOLOGY-1 in Core-1 option, then he must has to choose CHEMISTRY-2
    in Core-2 option.
    4. The subject that a student will choose as Major Subject from 4th Semester, He/She must has to
    select the same subject in Core-1 in 1st semester
    5. Same subject cannot be repeated in Core 1/Core 2/Core 3
    6. A student can opt any two from Botany, Zoology and Anthropology as Core subjects.
