GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
After conducting a situation analysis of the business, students are now expected to generate a
digital marketing strategy for it to compete better in the market. The strategy must adhere to the
market and business situation investigation in the last report. Students will be challenged on how
the business and marketing objectives are formed, whether they are appropriate for the
company’s circumstances, as well as how the proposed strategy and tactics will ensure the
achievement of these objectives.

3. Digital strategy & objectives
3.1. Digital strategy
Discuss the target segment that should be focused in your proposed
strategy, specify the main insights discovered, and suggest a positioning
strategy
Describe the main elements of your digital marketing strategy for the
business. This may include multiple aspects of digital marketing that the
company needs to improve its digital presence and current business
performance: Website design/ redesign, Search engine optimization,
search engine marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, e-
commerce marketing, etc.
3.2. Objectives
Indicate the business and marketing objectives that the company can
achieve while considering the strategy you propose
The difference between business and marketing objectives, as well as for
different digital marketing aspects will be discussed in the class.
Notes: The strategy you recommend may be implemented by the
business for long term improvements. However, in this project it will be
limited to a one-year time frame.
4. Tactical Plan
This shall be dependent on the digital elements you propose in your
strategy. It can include (but not limited to):
- Website design: Create or re-design an existing website using Wix or
another web design software.
- Search engine optimization: Complete an SEO audit on an existing website.
Recommend both on-site and off-site optimization on the website.
- Search engine marketing: Recommend a Google AdWords advertising
campaign with specific budget and over the course of at least two weeks.
- Email marketing: Design and implement an email campaign including list
capture techniques to build the email list with examples of emails to be sent.
- Social media marketing: Create a social media campaign plan for the
company. The campaign should span at least two social media platforms and
show suggested tactics for at least two weeks.
The plan should include a list of tactics to be used with
- Content/ execution calendar
- Templates/examples (for social, email and SEM)
- Instructions on how it will be implemented
Notes: Students only need to provide a comprehensive sample of a three-
month calendar to include all elements they suggest in their strategy
(both always-on and flighted campaigns)

6. Budgeting
Estimate expenses for each tactic according to specific tracking metrics
Notes: This shall be estimated only but students should provide pricing
references and clear break-downs of the costs.
