In the next three (3) school years (2024-25 to 2026-27), Mainit District envisions a learning organization that cultivates learners equipped with
the skills and values necessary to become productive, independent, and globally competitive individuals.
We firmly believe that curriculum and instruction molds the fundamental skills of learners, developed through five macro skills
(Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening and Viewing), are the primary determinants of their success adhering to the new normal learning
deliveries.

Therefore, to develop the abovementioned skills, learners should be engaged in meaningful activities like reading, writing and play, provide
them literacy and skills development materials such as, printed beginning reading materials and android television in every classroom. Through
LAC Sessions and other In-service trainings, teachers will be capacitated of skills on teaching beginning reading using Marungko Approach and
Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) and be oriented of Comprehensive Reading Learning Assessment (CRLA) administration for K-3
learners. Fostering strong linkage with parents and reading volunteers and involve SPTA and barangay officials for financial and material
support.

• SMART GOAL:
By the end of school year 2024-2025, Mainit Elementary School is determined to improve the reading proficiency level of K-3
learners from full refresher to grade-ready level through engagement in meaningful learning activities like reading, writing and play,
and provision of printed beginning reading materials and television in every classroom.
By the end of November 2024, All K-3 teachers will be capacitated with skills related to teaching beginning reading, through
conduct of Learning Action Cell (LAC) and in service trainings.
By November 2024, all parents will start to conduct the daily one- hour reading session at home and submit reading log report
weekly, and engage SPTA and Barangay Officials for their financial aid and provision of varied reading materials.
