Course Rationale:
This course is designed to enable the students to perform different types of wet and dry process
of garments washing, garments dyeing by using different types of required machines and tools
with their study of different parts and functioning.
Course Objectives:
The specific objectives of the course are to enable students to-
 Learn about different denim fabrics.
 Plan a lay out for washing plant
 Identify required different chemicals and machines, tools.
 Study different required machine, tools for dry and wet process with their application to
produce specific effect.
Course Outcomes:

After successful completion of the course, students will be able to-

 Identify and differentiate among different types of commercial denim fabric.


 Make a lay out plan of a garments washing plant.
 Identify and describe required machineries, tools, equipments, chemicals, auxiliaries for
garments washing and dyeing.
 Identify different parts with functions of machineries and tools required for garments
washing.
 Operate machineries and tools used in garments washing.
 Perform different wet and dry processes of garments washing.
 Identify different effects produced by different wet and dry processes.
