SERVICE LETTER

No. 13

SUBJECT: EMERGENCY EVACUATION

AIRCRAFT AFFECTED
P68 Aicraft variants from S/N 412 up to and including S/N 424. Aircraft Serial Number 418 is
excluded.

TO OWNERS/OPERATORS:

Please be advised that Service Bulletin 128 will be issued shortly by Vulcanair to extend a minor
modification introduced on the current production aircraft for facilitating the access to and the use
of the exits on board in the event of an emergency evacuation of the aircraft.

Pending the issue of Service Bulletin 128, temporarily insert as applicable, Figure 1 or 2 herein, as
the first page in the Flight Manual immediately upon receipt of this Service Letter. These figures
show the interior of the aircraft and supply instructions for the access to and the use of exits on
board in the event of an emergency evacuation. In particular this is to make operators aware that the
quick release pin on the pilot’s, copilot’s, third and fourth seats need to be pulled out so that the
seats backs can recline permitting access to the emergency exits. The inserted page is to be
considered an integral part of this document until Service Bulletin 128 is complied with.

Page to be temporarily inserted as the first page of the Flight Manual P/N NOR10.707-1B
applicable to the P68C aircraft and to be considered as an integral part of this document until
Service Bulletin 128 is complied with, at which time it should be replaced with Revision 9 to
the Flight Manual which will be supplied together with the modification kit.

Page to be temporarily inserted as the first page of the Flight Manual P/N NOR10.707-8B
applicable to the P68 Observer 2 aircraft and the Flight Manual P/N NOR10.707-4B
applicable to the P68TC Observer aircraft and to be considered as an integral part of these
documents until Service Bulletin 128 is complied with, at which time it should be replaced
with Revision 7 to the Flight Manual for the P68 Observer 2 and Revision 2 to the Flight
Manual for the P68TC Observer which will be supplied together with the modification kits.
