eMortar FC200* constructive solutions

A shrinkage controlled, fluid microconcrete for CP

system installation and structural repair

Uses Properties

eMortar FC200 is suitable for mass infill to structural repairs The following typical results were obtained at a water:powder
in all types of loadbearing situations where electrochemical ratio of 0.12.
compatibilities need to be considered. Typical applications
Test method Typical result
would include, but not be limited to, the following :
Fresh wet density : 2300 kg/m³
! Repairs where CP ground bed systems are in use. Drying shrinkage to ASTM C157-93
! Repairs to structures and installations suffering from @ 28 days : < 600 microstrain
major loss of section. Compressive strength : > 40 N/mm2 at 3 days
1
(BS 1881 Pt.116 ) > 45 N/mm2 at 7 days
! Repairs and CP overlay system installation. > 55 N/mm2 at 28 days
! Repairs requiring high fluidity e.g. heavily congested steel Electrical resistivity
or repairs into re-entrant angles/concealed voids and (BS 1377: Pt. 3 @ 28 days) : 5,000 - 10,000 ohm-cm
where electrical resistivity is a factor. Chloride content
(BS 812 ) : < 0.1% by weight of cement
Advantages Sulphate content (SO3)
(BS 812) : < 4% by weight of cement
eMortar FC200, in addition to controlled electrical resistivity, Alkali content (Na2O)
features Dimensional Stability Technology (DST) - a new (BS 812) : < 3.5 kg/m³
materials technology which controls the rate of drying Flow characteristics
shrinkage such that, when used correctly : (DTT specification)
i. the dimensions of the installation/repair remain stable; 75 cm @ 20°C : less than 20 secs
and thus 50 cm @ 40°C : less than 20 secs
Cement content : Min 500 kg/m³
ii. eliminating structure failure, due to installation shrinkage Air content : < 2%
cracking. Water : Cement ratio : < 0.45
iii. ensures even current distribution when used with CP Note1: 100mm cubes, water cured @ 20°C
systems as cracking is eliminated.
Design criteria
This in turn leads to a series of associated benefits :
