 The Krishna Consciousness Movement is meant to promote people to a stage of perfection

and fulfil the purpose of human life.

 But what is the purpose of human life? What is perfection?
 To end all suffering and get out of an awkward miserly place of sadness. To be situated in
true happiness by addressing real problems of life. To question why am I suffering like this?!
 Who says I am suffering? I am enjoying!
 We are not enjoying. The creator knows best of the product created. And the creator of this
world’s (Krishna’s) version is as following
mām upetya punar janma
duḥkhālayam aśāśvatam
nāpnuvanti mahātmānaḥ
saṁsiddhiṁ paramāṁ gatāḥ
We are suffering in dukhalayam.
 Even if we are suffering, I am liking this. I am ready to enjoy sex life in this human form. You may call it suffering
if you like. I am ready to suffer.
 The word that has been used here after dukhalayam is asasvatam. Temporaray. Right now one may enjoy
uncontrolled sex life with many women in a sophisticated and apparently pleasing way. But what is the garuntee
that you will continue to enjoy sex life in the same comfort and with same fun as a human. Material Energy can
degrade you to a level of Dog. Sex life in dog’s body is not enjoyable and whole life is painful. So human
enjoyment is temporary even if one desires to not accept is as suffering and wishes to continue. You will be
forcefully kicked out by nature
 I See. But what can I really do? I don’t see any way to end this misery. What is the solution?

 janma karma ca me divyam

evaṁ yo vetti tattvataḥ
tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma
naiti mām eti so ’rjuna
Understanding and practicing Krishna Consciousness perfectly is the solution to end this misery, as promised by
the same creator (krishna) who highlighted this problem in the first place. Other Sciences are imperfect and
cannot explain subtle concepts such as, mind, ego, soul etc. Put KC is perfect. It explains the current situation
and the condition of the soul and provides a solution applicable to everyone for elevation of the soul. Stage of
perfection.
 What does KC say about the soul? What is the KC version of the current scenario that I am in?
 You are covered by a dress that is going to be rendered useless in some time. Then you will take it off and take
to a new one. This dress is your body. Either willingly or unwillingly, you will be forced to move into a new body.
This is called transmigration of soul.
 Does that apply to everyone and anyone?
 Yes. It applies to all. This is a complete science.
 Are all souls then the same and one?
 Same in quality but not one in existence. Each soul has its own identity and individuality. But we are all the same
in quality. For example, you may not be a Hindu, I may not be a Muslim, but both of us are having the same body
of a human being. Similarly, two different pens can be produced from the same plastic are filled with the same
ink. Same in quality but different in individuality.
 Is a KC Soul and non-KC soul same in quality as well? I mean to say, a devotee and non-devotee.
 Yes. The original constitutional position of all souls is the same. But we are just under different influences of the
3 modes of material nature. For example, I have a piece of silk, you also have one. Yours is cleaner and mine is
dirty. Another person’s silk cloth is even dirtier. But if we simply wash our cloth there will be no difference
between your cloth and my cloth. Same in quality. That was the original condition of my cloth also. It just
happened to become dirty because of association of some dirt and rubbish. All I need to do is wash that dirt and
original condition is restored.
 So all souls are originally same and one in quality with no difference. We are all the same and equal in quality
then? Are we not?
 Indeed, we are. This is the POV of an intelligent person. Panditah Sama Darsinah. Only by understanding this
science perfectly can we establish real justice and equality in the society. A wise man will never differentiate
based on outer bodily covering. He looks within, the soul.
 What about God? Where is he in the picture? Is he the soul or with the soul? Is he outside and inside of us?
 Krishna is outside and inside also. He is not soul; he is Super-soul. He is everywhere, just as air is. Within and
without. He is within everyone’s heart (isvarah sarva bhutanam hrdese rjuna tisthati) and in every atom
(Parmanu Cayantara Stham)
 That is good to know. But how can one really realize that? You see, knowledge is different from Realization. Is it
not?
 Yes. To know and to realize are not the same. But to know is the first step to realize. This fact can be easily
realised through Yogic Processes.
 Is Chanting Hare Krishna, a yogic process?
 Yes. Srila Prabhupad confirms this. It is the prescribed yogic process for this day and age. Easy and simple for the
fools of Kaliyuga. But it must be followed.
 Can I not realize God on my own? Without chanting…
 No. That is simply not possible. God is not your servant. You command him to reveal himself and he will follow
your order. He is master. He will only reveal when he desires. Just as the Sun cannot be commanded to rise at
our will, we cannot instruct the Super-soul. The sun rises at its own time and desire. Either you wait or put
yourself in a situation to see the Sun.
 And when will he desire to reveal himself to me?
 When you are able to invoke his mercy by your service and practice of chanting Hare Krishna. You must please
him.
 And how can I please Krishna? How do I know which action of mine is pleasing or not pleasing him?
 God will give realization. No certification is needed. Just as how one automatically satiates hunger when he eats,
Krishna will instruct and motivate you from within when you please him through your services to him. You will
understand “God is dictating to me. I can see God”.
 You speak of rendering service to Krishna, but how can I render service to him? I can’t see him, nor do I know
the right method of his worship.
 God’s representative. Just serve him. Guru is to be treated equal to God. “Sakshad Dahritvena Samsata Shastrair
uktas tatha bhav yata eva sadbhih.” Follow Guru’s order, please him, serve him, and impress Guru. Krishna is
impressed. This is shastric injuction.
 Can you give an example to explain?
 Guru is God’s representative. Just as how a king sends his minister or messenger as diplomat to another
kingdom, Krishna sends his intimate devotees as Guru. Whatever treatment is given to that messenger of king is
treated as treatment given to the king. If he is insulted, it means king is insulted. If he is honoured, it means you
are honouring the King indirectly. And when he goes back, he reports. “Oh they treated me very nicely out of
respect for you. They are nice people.” So the King is impressed. Similarly Krishna is king and Guru is his
messenger.
 Oh, I see. Are there different types of Guru?
 No. Just one type. Guru is same. One who belongs to bonafide Parampara and talks about serving Krishna
according to Shastra is Guru. All guru’s are the same. External manifestation of Krishna. All are same.
 I don’t seem to understand, please give an example again.
 The same moon is reflected in different shape and size in oil, water, honey, milk etc. The reflections look
different but are of the same one moon. This is the example. Krishna is moon, Guru is reflection. Krishna is Adi
Guru. Original source. He first imparted knowledge to Brahma and it is simply passed on.
 I seem to understand. But if Krishna is Adi Guru, why can’t I take direct instruction from him? Is it even possible?
To take his original instructions?
 If I tell you, “My dear Sir, this is a pencil.” You tell the same thing to another person, and he tells the same thing
to another person. Are his instructions any different from mine? Although I am original Guru…
 No. It is as good as receiving direct instructions from You. The original.
 Yes. This is called Parampara. Furthermore, Krishna’s instructions are also preserved in Shastra (Gita, Bhagvatam
etc) so one cannot deviate. If he does, he can easily be checked. No use of cooking up one’s own philosophy. A
guru will never do that.
