Hello everybody. First of all I would like to speak about my family.

My parents, who
play a great role in moulding my character, but not my opinion and thoughts. My
family isn’t large with 4 people. My father is 41 years old, but he looks much
younger, because he fonds of going in for sports. He is a doctor, he has experience in
many fields so it is always interesting to communicate with him. And my mother is
40. She is a good-looking woman with black hair. She is a teacher. She is always full
of energy and enthusiasm . My baby sister is 9 years old, she is very intelligent and
kind. I am 16 years old. I am tall and slim. Speaking about my character I can say that
I’m friendly, kind, generous and honest. I am modest and sometimes shy, so I can lose
my temper and begin to scream at somebody. I have a lot of friends in my school.
Besides that I’m good at Maths and English. I usually obtain many high scores in
those subjects. I’m proud of their. I’m a big fan of detective stories. In my free time, I
always read them with intensive passion. In the future, I also want to become a
detective as Sherlock Holmes. That’s my introduction. I hope that we will get along
well in the future

Nowadays, one of the most worrying threat people have faced is global warming.
Two main reasons leading to global warming are “natural” and “human” influences.
One main natural cause of global warming is greenhouse gases which are carbon
monoxide and sulphur dioxide. It traps the solar rays and prevent them from escaping
the surface of the earth, which makes the temperature of the earth increase. For human
influences, it is contributing more than natural causes of global warming. Human
activities including industrial production, burning fossil fuels, mining of minerals
release carbon dioxide and monoxide from the exhaust. This causes an increase in the
temperature of Earth’s atmosphere. Deforestation is also a human influence because
they have been cutting down a lot of tree to produce paper, wood, build houses and
more. Global warming has many serious consequences. It leads to heat-related illnesses
and spread of infectious diseases. It also results in melting of polar ice caps and rising
of sea levels. Extreme weather patterns such as severe storms, flood and droughts are
obvious consequences of global warming. Moreover, global warming might cause the
widespread extinction of species. In short, global warming is a serious issue, both
governments and individuals must take to reduce its effects.
Recognized as a World Heritage Site, Hoi An ancient town is one of the most
attractive destinations in Vietnam. The little town is situated on the bank of Thu Bon
river located in central Vietnam. Along with the ups and downs of history, cultural
values of this picturesque town have been still retained carefully up to now and
particularly apparent in traditional architecture. Hoi An is famous for its skillful
tailors who can make suits, wallets, shoes, … Moreover, it is the best place to be at
night. This town is lit up with colourful lanterns hung along the streets, which allow
visitors to immerse themselves in a romantic atmosphere. At this time, visitors have
the chance to know about the unique local culture by listening to traditional music or
watching water puppet shows. Hoi An is also known for its great food with reasonable
price. The local specialities are banh mi (Vietnamese baguette), Cao Lau (a pork
noodle dish), Chicken Rice Hoi An, …. In short, this ancient town has a unique
beauty ones can hardly resist, making it one of the top destinations that should be
added to our bucket - list.

Technology has been progressing at a great rate over the past few decades. I think that
in a few centuries, the world will be very different.We will use transport which is
completely from electricity. Perhaps, in the future, the world will be entirely
computerized. Every household will have a mainframe which linked to all other
systems. Adults don't have to go to work and children needn’t to go to school as
everything can be done at home. Probably, by then, humans will not even have to take
food in the form of meat, vegetables and rice to survive. Tablets containing the ideal
proportion of the essential nutrients will be enough for us. Robots could become so
cheap that every household could afford a few of them. Life will be easy and
comfortable with all the household chores done by the robots. Visiting relatives
during New Year will not be nessary any more. All that the Vietnamese need to do is
switch on the mainframe and exchange greetings through the big screen. I think
people will use energy from nature like solar energy, wind, hydrogen instead of coal
and oil in the future. All these changes are just my own idea of what life in the future
could be like. Honestly, I hope so too.
After graduating from secondary school, I want to go to university instead of starting
to work immediately. Here are the reasons for my choice. In the first place, most
parents in Vietnam want their children to go to university or college. They think when
children study higher education, they can gain more knowledge and it is also good.
What’s more, critical thinking and having a bachelor’s degree will help us to find a
job more easily. If we have a bachelor’s degree, we can get a good job, earn a lot of
money and get more promotion. Last but not least, I want to have more time to mature
before stepping into adult life. University will provide me with opportunities to
develop social skills, leadership abilities and better self- management. Besides, I want
to study at a foreign university because the international learning environment will
broaden my knowledge and help me more independent. In conclusion, entering
university after secondary school will give me a lot of opportunities in my life.
