Hot Chocolate
• All of the patterns are given at full size.
• Some may have been split up to fit on the page.
Dotted lines show where two parts of a pattern
have to be joined, shown by A and B points, which

need to be matched.
• The outer solid line on a pattern is the sewing line,
unless otherwise stated.
• Dashed lines show openings or a division between
two fabrics.
• ‘ES’ indicates an extra seam allowance, where
some projects require a wider seam allowance. Sew
the seam to the end of the extra allowance. Fold
under at the inner dotted line (if you are not joining
to another piece).
• Generally, cut out the shapes after sewing, cutting
about 1/4in (6mm) outside of the sewn line (cutting
by eye is fine).
• For some projects, you will need to add seam
allowances to individual pieces – refer to the advice
with the specific patterns.
