The Scope of the Conference

Continuously developing methodologies in education, EFL instruction/learning especially, is essential


to the improvement of our education institutions. That is why Algeria has more than any time before
allocated considerably much interest in reinforcing the status of English in its educational system. To
achieve the desired progress, considerable time and resources should be allocated, efforts need be
connected, long discussions must be held, and vigorous assessments ought to be made.

This conference will provide a good opportunity for education stakeholders (teachers, researchers,
administrators, as well as other education professionals) who are forging ahead in fostering innovative
and effective education at all levels to network, share experiences, reflect on national education
policies and trends, review traditional and current instructional methodologies, explore new ideas,
catch up with the latest practices and take stock of novel ways of going about developing literacy and
instruction tools, materials, methods and strategies…all of which culminate in recharging their
excitement for optimizing the teaching-learning outcomes.

The main aim of this first edition of the conference is to highlight and derive on the most effective
ways of implementing the new English linguistic policies adopted by the Algerian government in
higher education and the operational language teaching methodologies/practices for the putting into
effect of these policies. The ministry of higher education urged that teachers and students had better
started boosting their skills in English, with differing field-based rates of integration. Highly
prioritized in the frames of this conference’s first edition will be visions and insights, perceptions and
attitudes, innovations and outcomes, recommendations and suggestions, etc. pertaining to the
introduction and focused integration of English in the different higher education study fields
