    IELTS Equivalent List for Undergraduate Admission

    Students attaining a qualification equivalent to or above the requisite scores in IELTS could be
    exempted from taking the Password test and are considered for having fulfilled the IELTS
    requirement.

    Qualification Scores Equivalent to Overall 6.0 in IELTS Academic Module

    Password Test Overall 6.0


    (administered by
    Lingnan University)

    GCE System Grade C in GCE A Level English

    International Grade 4 in HL English Language; or


    Baccalaureate (IB) Grade 5 in SL English Language

    TOEFL a score of 74 (internet-based test), with minimum score 15 in listening,


    16 in reading, 15 in speaking and 17 in writing
    (in one sitting, MyBestTM score is not accepted)

    Pearson PTE 50 overall, minimum 38 in all compotents


    Academic/ UKVI

    Cambridge English 168 overall with at least 160 in each element


    Scale

    Trinity ISE ISE II Distinction or ISE III Pass

    LanguageCert B2 Communicator with 39 in each skill area


    English Language
