II.Rationale

Current industries continue to pursue products that reduce impacts on the

environment and human health called eco-friendly products. Eco-design is used as a tool

in the manufacturing and service sectors to improve the sustainability of products by

combining environmental facet into the design process where the product impacts are

defined. Dishwashing liquid generated monthly waste from bottle packaging. Thus, those

bottles are the one causes of the plastic waste in the world that can’t be disregarded as other

single-use products. Additionally, Conventional Dishwashing liquid released into

environment is harmful to nature, animals and human health. The research aims to

understand customer insights, needs, and opportunities to improve the dishwashing liquid

that less impact on the environment. Ingredients of detergent and packaging materials are

the main factors affecting the environment such as natural land transformation, natural

resource depletion, landfill, air pollution, toxic ash, groundwater pollutions, and waste. The

finding results emphasize a high customer value with less environmental impact along a

product life cycle. When focusing attention on designing eco-friendly dishwashing

detergent. The designer should give important continue developing the product

formulations, non-water ingredients and improving packaging to reduce the environmental

and to help other people reuse the recycle bottle into a containers using dishwashing liquid.

dishwashing liquid is an essential household cleaning product that makes it easy to

maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. With the right dishwashing liquid formula,

you can effortlessly cut through grease, grime, and stubborn stuck-on food, leaving your

dishes sparkling clean with minimal effort. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into

various aspects of dishwashing liquid formulas, exploring their key ingredients, popular

brands, and eco-friendly solutions for modern kitchens. (Jun Xie, 2023).

detergent plastic waste is one of the biggest problems which increasingly threatens climate,

ocean, animal and human health (UNEP, 2019). Environmental awareness of single-use

plastic has become increasingly vital. Dishwashing liquid also causes abundant packaging

waste. While the increasing population growth rate tends to affect household consumption

including dishwashing liquid, the ability of recycling will become overwhelming. Only 9%

entered the recycling process, 12% has been incinerated and 79% of plastic wastes go to

landfill or remain in the environment (UNEP, 2018) same as Thailand which can recycled

25% of 2 million tons in Thailand. The environmentally friendly dishwashing was

established from chemical and water pollution issues. It was be noted that the natural

ingredients are friendly to humans and safe to the environment. The environmental

awareness in Thailand tends to increase even in academic class (Wongwatcharapaiboon,

2019). Hence the researcher soos the opportunities to improve a product in the cleaning

industry and to balance Tha customers’ needs and environmental issues. To achieve these

issues companies should design a product that reduces or eliminate the use of packaging

III.Project objectives:

1.General

This income generating project aims to help the Galvan National High School from trash

bottle as School Project. That may help them to clean their environment by recycling and

reuse of plastic bottles to become a container of dishwashing liquid.

2.Specific

More specifically this project aims to:

A. Help the community to be treated right and value the environment by picking up all the

plastic bottle in community and use as a container of dishwashing liquid.

B. Promote products in community like dishwashing liquid thru the use of recycled plastic

bottles that may help our environment.

C. Promote products and entrepreneur who are willing to support the sustainability of trash

bottles and reuse as DIY Dishwashing Liquid: An Income Generating Project

D. Generate income thru bottle and to minimize the use of plastic bottles.

E. Give strategies to the community on how this income generating project will benefit

their daily lives.

IV.Project Description

Our project, “DIY Dishwashing Liquid: An Income Generating Project” this

project aims to help the community and the school of Galvan National High School to

minimize their trash, otherwise this project will help all the community to be wise and

how to reuse reduce and recycle and by doing this it will maintain the cleanliness of the

environment by their safety.

The issue of trash, particularly plastic bottles, has become a significant problem in

many community. Without proper waste management and disposal practices, these plastic

bottles can accumulate and lead to environmental pollution. As a result, it is essential to

address the proper waste segregation to effectively enhance cleanliness, improve the

cleanliness in environment, and promote responsible citizenship within the community.

The main goal of our research project entitled "DIY Dishwashing Liquid: An

Income Generating Project” aim to minimize the use of plastic bottles and improve waste

management, and promote cleanliness within the barangay. Additionally, we aim to value

the environment to sustainable and healthier community.

The proceeds of the project will be donated to the school of Galvan National High

School to build a project that’s will benefits the school.

V. Implementation

Pre- Implementation

The researcher conducted an income-generating project with the permission of the

school principal and other head teachers of Galvan, National High School. This project is

composed of 12 members of researchers to implement the income-generating project.

During Implementation

The researchers collected plastic bottles to be used as containers for eco-friendly

dishwashing liquid, which were thoroughly cleaned to maintain the cleanliness and health

of our product’s buyers. To sell it, we went door-to-door to sell the dishwashing liquid and

explain our product properly to the researchers target market. We sell our product in the

barangays of San Rafael, Marikit, and Galvan in Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

Post Implementation

The researchers will donate half of their sales from the eco-friendly dishwashing

liquid to Galvan National High School, while the other half will be divided among the

researchers who conducted the research project. We gathered survey questionnaire

statement to all Grade 12 students using the data gathering instrument was structured with

a scale data ranging from 1-4. Where in (1) if you Strongly Disagree, (2) if you Disagree,

(3) if you Agree, and (4) if you Strongly Agree.

Research Design

This income generating project used Experimental research as a research design.

Experimental research design is a framework of protocols and procedures created to

conduct experimental research with a scientific approach using two sets of variables.

Herein, the first set of variables acts as a constant, used to measure the differences of the

second set. Experimental research helps a researcher gather the necessary data for making

better research decisions and determining the facts of a research study. (Sirisilla, 2023)

Research Locale

This study was conducted at Galvan National High School located at Baranggay

Galvan under the municipality of Guimba in the province of Nueva Ecija, we chose thirty-

six (36) respondents in Grade 12 students under Senior High Department.

Sample and Sampling Procedure

To choose the respondents of the income generating project, the researchers utilized

purposive sampling Purposive sampling refers to a group of non-probability sampling

techniques in which units are selected because they have characteristics that you need in

your sample In other words, units are selected “on purpose” in purposive sampling Also

called judgmental sampling, this sampling method relies on the researcher’s judgment

when identifying and selecting the individuals, cases, or events that can provide the best

information to achieve the study’s objectives. (Nikolopoulou, 2022)

Data Gathering Procedure

A letter of request to conduct the income generating project was prepared, stating

the purpose and objectives of the research, as well as the scope and delimitations. The

researchers developed a survey guide question that served as the primary data collection

tool. The researchers used purposive sampling techniques, wherein the researchers selected

participants at Galvan National High School. The researchers collect the bottle in a street

that can use as containers in liquid dishwashing and develop the value of plastic bottle and

help our environment to reuse other plastics garbage as a containers. Before the conduct of

survey statement, the researchers asked the participants of the study to sign an informed

consent that they willingly participated in the income generating project. The respondents

answered the researchers survey statement provided by the researchers. The data was

collected through survey statement with participants on their household. The survey

statement were conducted in the local language and statement were developed based on the

research objectives statement based on the income generating project that the researchers

conducting. The survey were answered on a paper with the participants’ consent. Lastly,

the data collected were encoded and were analyzed through statistical analysis technique.

Data Gathering Instrument

The main instrument that will be used in this income generating project is the

survey statement questionnaire provided by the researcher. The contents of the survey

statement were to conceptualize the specific problems posted in chapter 1. The data

gathering instrument was structured with a scale ranging from 1-4. Where in (1) if you

This will help the researchers to analyze the result of conducting a survey statement

questionnaires to collect the data through statistical analysis technique on this income

generating project.

Statistical treatment

The researcher use weighted mean as a statistical treatment to determined the

percentage of the survey questionnaire answer by respondents. To collect the data using

statistical analysis technique the researcher use weighted mean. A weighted average or

mean is one where each item being averaged is multiplied by a number (weight) based on

the item’s relative importance, rather than treating each item equally. The weights or

weightings are the equivalent of having that many similar items with the same value

involved in the average.(Glossary: Weighted Average, 2011)

IX. Project operational Description

A.Market

Product description

Eco-friendly dishwashing liquid is used to remove grease, food particles, and other

residues from dishes, utensils, and cookware. Dishwashing liquids often contain

surfactants, which help to break down and remove grease and grime, as well as other

ingredients to enhance cleaning and provide a pleasant scent. They are designed to be used

with water, creating a foamy solution that helps to lift dirt and debris off dishes for easier

rinsing. Dishwashing liquids come in various formulations, including traditional liquid

form, gel, and concentrated forms.

Target market

The target market for dishwashing liquid is broad and typically includes

households, restaurants, catering services, and other food-related businesses. Within

households, the primary target demographic is often individuals responsible for household

chores, such as homemakers, parents, and caregivers.

Price/Pricing Policy

DIY dishwashing liquid project will cost 40 pesos per 1liter since the plastic bottles

is 1liter only that the researchers collected.

Terms of sale

1. The eco-friendly dishwashing liquid products will be selling by door-to-door and

delivery sales.

2. Payment will be collected directly from the customers.

3. No cancellation Policy of orders.

This income generating project produced 31 bottles in 1 liters per week.

Technical Product Process

1. Prepare 14 liters of water

2. Mix the S.A.A fortified bubble booster and it’s surfactant to the water and mix it well,
and rest the water for 20 minutes

3. After 20 minutes add the premix bottle and thickener while you mix it slowly.

4. Wait for 24 hours until it absorbs the texture of dishwashing liquid.

gained of 3.72 and described as Strongly Agree while the “I am motivated to participate in

a DIY dishwashing liquid project aimed at reducing plastic waste” is the second highest

B.CONCLUSION
 GALVAN HIGH SCHOOL

Based on the findings of the project, there is a lot of support and confidence for the

project’s multiple aspect. In particular, stakeholders completely agree that encouraging

locally produce goods like liquid dishwashing may engage community pride and

engagement that including stakeholders in decision making processes is essential for

success and giving the students a hands on experience in marketing and sales of

dishwashing liquid will benefit them greatly.

Furthermore, everyone agrees that the project involving the dishwashing liquid has

the potential to improve educational resources and facilities at Galvan National High

School, improve student learning, and serve as a model for future projects aimed at

generating income in similar situations.

It is also believe that the project will improve the learning environment, encourage

student entrepreneurship and creativity, and bring in ongoing source of income for the

school. The results show considerable support and confidence for the project over all,

though slightly lower mean agreement on financial support and expanding income streams.

As an outcome, the results highlights the DIY Dishwashing liquid an income

generating project encouraging potential for not just making income but also for improving

student learning, encouraging community evolvement, and acting as a acceptable model

for other projects of similar kind. These favorable views and opinion provide a strong basis

for the project successful completion and lasting.

C.RECOMMENDATIONS

In light of the outcomes of the study, the following recommendations are forwarded:

1.Students. The researchers recommended to encourage them to reuse items like

containers, bags, and clothing creatively, highlighting the fun and practical aspects of

upcycling. For recycling, demonstrate the process and importance of sorting materials

correctly, emphasizing how it helps conserve resources. Incorporate interactive activities,

like sorting games or creative reuse projects, to make learning about the reuse, reduce,

recycle enjoyable and memorable.

2.Parents. The reseachers recommended to promote how putting the reuse, reduce, recycle

into practice may help reduce waste, preserve funds, and save money. Emphasize the

importance of teaching kids about waste management and responsible consuming since

these are lifelong habits. Encourage parents to set a good example for their kids by using

reusable bags, recycling paper and plastic, and choosing items with little packaging, among

other easy ways to include the reuse, reduce, recycle into daily life.

3.Teachers. The researchers recommended that the school should have a “Green Fair” or

sustainability-themed event where the “Reuse, Reduce, Recycle” project and other green

projects would be recognized. Work together with neighborhood companies or groups to

offer materials, prizes, or interesting shows that enhance the project’s objectives. To

engage parents and the larger community, create a special section on the school website or

newsletter that highlights the project’s development, student accomplishments, and

sustainable living advice. Give kids the chance to take responsibility in planning and

promoting these activities so they can feel proud of and achieved in their environmental

sustainability efforts.

4.Future Researchers. The researchers recommended to highlight the opportunity to

reduce waste, support sustainable behaviors, and maybe save resources. Promote the value

of creative ideas and innovation in addressing current environmental problems.

Emphasizing results and showing the possibility of significant change can encourage

researchers to explore reduce, reuse, recycle projects and bring value to society.
