You will need:
• Computer with CD or DVD writer drive
• Optical media authoring program
• Blank recordable CD or DVD
Steps:
1. Determine the type of movie output that you would like. The burning process for a CD
movie output is different from that of a DVD.
2. If you want to burn a CD format movie, go to step 9. For a DVD format output, make sure
that a blank recordable DVD media is in the burner.
3. The source movie file must be stored in the hard drive. Even if you have two CD or DVD
drives, it is still advisable to copy it to the hard drive for faster and more stable data transfer
rates during the burning process.
4. Since DVD movie formats use different streams for the audio, video and even the subtitle,
the raw movie must be first converted to a DVD format before it can be burned.
5. Launch the video converter program and convert the raw movie file into a DVD format.
6. Open your authoring program and select the option to burn a movie.
7. Click on the burn button to begin the authoring process.
8. Once the burning procedure is completed and the disc is finalized, the application will eject
the optical media. Insert it into a stand-alone media player to test the end product.
9. Burning a CD format movie is quite straightforward since both audio and video streams
are stored in the same file. To begin burning a CD movie, skip the conversion process and

about our visit.

story. Before we left, we prayed for her recovery. We also told her to maintain cleanliness.
Erika smiled and nodded. She asked us to take a picture together as a memento.
The second patient we visited was a man in his seventies. His name was Mr. Prabu and
he broke his left arm. At that time he was accompanied by his wife. When we introduced
ourselves, they thought we were their granddaughter’s friends. My friends and I entertained
him. Oki who loves cracking jokes told a joke that made all of us laugh. They were really
amused and happy. When we were about to leave, Mr. Prabu hugged us and promised to meet

ESSAY
The following text if for questions 1 and 2
Green sea turtles are rarely seen on land. They are endangered species with a drastically
reduced population.
Despite its name, a green sea turtle’s shell is not always green. The shell can be a blend
of different colors including brown, dark olive, grey or black. The shell is also smooth and
heart-shaped. Green sea turtles actually received their colorful name from the color of their sub
dermal (underneath the skin) body fat.
Green sea turtles are really big. They can grow to 91-122 cm in length. They are very
dense and heavy animals. Despite their size, they are still not the world’s largest sea turtles.
Adult green sea turtles are herbivores. The jaw is serrated to help the turtle easily chew
their primary food source–sea grasses and algae. Meanwhile, juvenile green sea turtles are
omnivores. They eat a wide variety of plant and animal life, including insects, crustaceans, sea
grasses and worms.
Green sea turtles have ocean water habitats and nesting habitats. Once a green sea turtle
hatches and heads into the ocean, it rarely returns to land. Instead, it feeds on off-shore plant
blooms around islands and beaches.

1. “The shell can be a blend of different colors …” (paragraph 2)

What is the similar meaning of the underlined word?
2. How can green sea turtles grow in length?

Hail is a form of precipitation that occurs when updrafts in thunderstorms carry raindrops
upward into extremely cold areas of the atmosphere where they freeze into balls of ice. Hail
can damage aircraft, homes and cars, and can be deadly to livestock and people.
Hailstones can have layers like an onion if they travel up and down in an updraft, or they
can have few or no layers if they are “balanced” in an updraft. One can tell how many times a
hailstone travelled to the top of the storm by counting the layers. Hailstones can begin to melt
and then refreeze together–forming large and very irregularly shaped hail.
Hail is usually pea-sized to marble-sized, but big thunderstorms can produce big hail.
The largest hailstone recovered in the U.S. fell in Vivian, South Dakota on 23rd June 2010 with
a diameter of 8 inches and a circumference of 18.62 inches. It weighed 1 lb. 15 oz.
Hail falls when it becomes heavy enough to overcome the strength of the updraft and is
pulled by gravity towards the earth. How it falls is dependent on what is going on inside the
thunderstorm, and this bumping slows down their fall. Drag and friction also slow their fall. If
the winds are strong enough, they can even blow hail so that it falls at an angle.
When viewed from the air, it is evident that hail falls in paths known as hail swaths. They
can range in size from a few acres to an area 10 miles wide and 100 miles long. Piles of hail
swaths have been so deep, a snow plow was required to remove them and occasionally, hail
drifts have been reported.

When I was seven years old, I was given a small wallet to keep my pocket money in. I
felt so happy and put it in my hip pocket.
One day, during the break time at school, I discovered that my wallet was missing. I
checked it but I could not find it. There was some money in the wallet and without it I could
not buy anything to eat. I was close to tears. It was not because of losing my precious wallet
but because I might get scolded by my parents. Anyhow I went hungry that day.
In the class I could not concentrate well to study at all. I kept thinking about how I lost
my wallet and what my parents would react. How was I going to explain the loss? I did not
know whether someone had taken it from my pocket or it had merely fallen out. I hoped that
someone would find and return it to me.
When I told my mother about my loss, she was angry. She told me that it would not have
happened if I had been careful. When my father came home, I got another anger. Then he told
me that there would not be any more wallets for me until I got older.
Luckily, I still got pocket money from my parents. I am glad to say that I never lost
anything again. I had learned to be more careful. It is not pleasant to lose something and then
get scolded for losing it.
