    In the speech delivered by Corazon Aquino to the U.S. Congress, she reflects on her
    journey from grief to becoming the president of a free Philippines. She highlights the sacrifices
    made for freedom and the resilience of the Filipino people. Aquino's speech touches on themes
    of courage, democracy, and the power of the people's will. Aquino's words mirrors the struggles
    faced by her late husband, Ninoy Aquino, and the Filipino nation in their fight against
    dictatorship and for democracy. She emphasizes the importance of standing firm against threats

    giving honor." These words resonated deeply with me, as they highlighted the strength that can

    like is the overwhelming support shown by millions of Filipinos during her husband's funeral. It

    and nations. It made me reflect on the privileges I have and the responsibility I hold to contribute
