CENG314-Chapter-4 Doubly and T

The beam has a rectangular cross-section. It is reinforced with 2Y32 and 1Y25 bars in tension, and 2Y25 bars in compression. The moment capacity is calculated based on the stress block model. The compression force is determined first based on the area of tension reinforcement. Then the tension and compression forces are used to calculate the moment arm and moment capacity.
