An introductory course in developing the critical thinking of students. This focuses on the basic concepts, types and procedures in writing effective business letters, technical reports, and technical articles in a specific field of specialization.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course, Technical Writing is designed to provide students training in the preparation of different reports when they are already in the field. This will have the students demonstrate effective writing skills required in writing technical report and in writing relevant business letters required in their academic discipline.

Identify the characteristics and functions of Technical Writing. 1 Evaluate the relevance of the Properties of Technical Writing. Write a simple Technical Article. Determine the qualities of an effective Business Letter. Compare a Business Letter to an Ordinary Letter. Construct an effective business letter. Identify the qualities of a Report Writer. Explain the distinction between Technical Report writing and Creative Writing. Design a Technical Report. Demonstrate accuracy in constructing unified and coherent Business Letters and Technical Report. Manifest cooperation in all group activities. Display a positive work attitude.
