operation of a successful industry. A trained and skilled IETS
operator or supervisor is not anymore a luxury but rather a Objectives

Malaysia. A Certificate of Competency will be awarded to Ir. Dr. Shamsudin Hj Ab Latif is a registered chemical engineer who holds
a B. Sc. in Chemical Eng. from Leeds University, UK., a M. Eng. In
participants who successfully completes the course, passes the
Environmental Eng. from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok,
examination and submits a field training report (FTR). Thailand, and a Sc. D in Public Health, from Tulane University New
Orleans, USA. Dr. Shamsudin s experience in industrial pollution control

credit. While with DOE, he prepared technical drafts of several regulations
