Wrap yourself in the colours that make you happiest. No need to explain or overthink - just pick the PM: place marker
first three that jump out to you. The Glee Shawl is a simple pleasure to knit: the luxurious blend of sl2wyif: slip 2 sts knitwise with yarn in
alpaca, merino, and silk elevates this combination of stripes, garter, and a modular asymmetric front
construction. SM: slip marker
ssk: slip 2 sts individually knitwise.
We added pompoms at the end - for pure gleeful whimsy! Insert left needle tip into the fronts of
these 2 slipped sts and knit them
together.
st(s): stitch(es)
yo: yarnover
Repeat rows 5-8, 33 more times. Repeat rows 5-6 once more. 285 Optional: use the remaining yarn to make one pompom in each colour,
sts. and attach them at three points of the shawl.
If you run out of yarn early, or if you want to keep knitting further, you
can. To establish how many stitches to cast on for the border, no matter
what size the body, count the number of stitches up to your marker and
divide by two, then add one. For the stitch count in this pattern as
written, this equates to: (142/2) + 1 = 72. Make sure to end with rows 5-
6.
Garter Border
With your live stitches still on your needle, return to the beginning
of the RS row. Join C3 and insert your needle between the first and
second stitch on the LH needle and using the cable cast-on method,
CO 72 sts.
