1. Draw a happy face and a sad face on the board.


I. PRE-LESSON 2. Say, e.g. I like … elephants. (Pupil name), what about you? Ask other pupils.
3. Show the cake flashcard. Rub your tummy and say I like cake. Elicit from pupils as above.
1. Activity 1:
 Hold up each flashcard in turn. Say the word for pupils to repeat in chorus.
 Write the word Food in the middle of the board and stick the flashcards around it to make
a bubble map
2. Activity 2:
 Pupils look at the picture in their Student’s Books.
 Elicit who they can see and where they are. Pre-teach lunchtime.
 Play the recording. Pupils point to the food and the words when they hear them.
 Play the recording again. Pupils repeat the words.
II. LESSON
3. Activity 3:
DEVELOPMENT
 Play the recording. Pupils listen and follow the chant in their Student’s Books.
 Do the chant as a class and then in groups.
 Make eight groups. Hand out a flashcard to each group.
 Pupils do the chant again, holding up the relevant flashcard when they say the food.
 Elicit which of the foods in the picture the students like and don’t like.
4. Activity 4:
 Distribute worksheets.
 Exercise 1: Pupils look at the foods and write the numbers.
 Exercise 2: Pupils find the food words in the word sausage.
1. Hold a flashcard so students cannot see it.
III. POST LESSON 2. Pupils try to guess, e.g. Is it cake?
3. The pupil who guesses correctly comes and chooses a flashcard for the class to guess.
