Well, as a Science major, English is sort of the main language that we used in order to
deliver the things that we want. So, its benefited me in many ways, because being
proficient in English allows me to be more confident in front; I know what I will be
saying; I know what I'll- the words that come out of my mouth, and the things that I will
explain to people, and that's why it helps a lot to know the words that you will be using.
And lessons- specifically, if you are confused with words, then, you will stutter a lot, and
there's many things that you can get confused to it. So, and, now, in terms of career
opportunities, well, English is used in many of the careers that we pursue, and
interviews specifically, use English as way to be more formal, as way to show yourself
as more professional and how you do things. And I think, that's how you can improve
your career opportunities throughout the world of a English language. Alex Barcelona

Well, as an English (Science) major, I should be able to at least, understand English,
because Science is thought in English; Mathematics is thought in English; and even a
lot of informational videos available in youtube are, uhh, in English. And, even if there is
a subtitle, there are some cases that it is not accurate enough , and I should be able to
understand it just from hearing the person has been saying. And also, uhh, for the
second question, I know that a lot of people who wanted to try, and work abroad or too
afraid of actually going because they are not that fluent in English and it became a
hindrance for them. So, uhh, if Filipinos are bilingual, and they are being thought
English in their subjects when they are going to school, it would really help them, it
would really be their advantage if they are proficient in English.

The English language has benefited me personally by providing me with the way to
express to others, in ways that I can properly do in our own language. Specially,
nowadays, were people speak more TagLish than pure Filipino, being able to know the
right words to say gives me more variety for expression. Since English language is the
universal language, it allows for a wider variety of jobs to choose and opens up for more
opportunities. As a future educator, I should practice proficiency in English to be a
