BENEFITS OF THE ATTCHMENT
The attachment is aimed at creating a holistic being both theoretical and practically
knowledgeable. I was able to merge a bit of the theory from school with practical’s, more so in
databases where we perform different calculations with different formulae’s. Installation of
CCTV’S, Online services for example application of passport and more, front office work for
example printing of the documents, computer maintenance where we used foam swabs, cotton
wool and detergents for active maintenance that is for hardware’s . For hardware’s we installed
anti-viruses i.e. Rufus to maintain the active functions of the software’s that is passive
maintenance. This is done improve the performance of the computer and to upgrade the
performance.
5
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ASSIGNED
- Starting and switching off of computers (machines)
- Machines maintenance.
- Cables meshing
- Meter reading & recording.
- Cleaning the laboratory room by students as I supervise.
- Repaired machines.
- Teaching students
- Wiping and blowing dust off the machines
- Identification of faulty machine and equipment for replacement on maintenance day.
- How to perform online services
- Computer maintenance
- Keeping the room tidy
- No dropping of litters in the ict room

CHAPTER THREE
EXPERIENCE
In three month attachment period I was able to learn how to install WIFI that is wireless
fidelity .i was also able to cover the whole packages and it was well understood by the students.
I was able to learn online services, front office work, and computer maintenance, Also I was able
to give out exams both CATS and take a ways exams and finally I gave out end term exams
which they did well. How to install CCTV, online services, computer maintenance, front office
work and many more. Online services; TSC,NHIF,KRA,KUCCPS, NTSA, HELB loan services,
GHRIS services and more. As a matter of fact I learnt a lot during my attachment period at
Hudumax Ict Training center.
7
GUIDANCE
The supervisor could demonstrate how to use the equipment or connect cables when it comes to
WIFI connectivity. Also he guidance to ensure that I delivered the content which was being
understood by all students and ensures that all students are at per more so during practical’s i.e.
during calculations in databases and creating of slides in PowerPoint. And also how to
troubleshoots. I was guided on how perform online services, computer maintenance, front office
work and how to interact with different people of different dignity. How to socialize with people
of different levels and different classes with different views.
8
OBSERVATION
This method was implored during the first week on attachment in order to see how activities
were running in ICT and also to gain teaching experience in such a manner that all students can
understand.
EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING
The method was used to enable student t to try out various calculations in word, excel, access
and also to create their own accounts on interne and e-mails, online services, installation of
CCTV’s, Networking, Passport taking and many more.
QUESTIONS
This method was used to obtain assistance when there were difficulties in handling different
calculations across all the packages and to help them understand different formulae’s.
INTERACTION
The method was put in practices to create interpersonal relationships at workplace and to learn
the channels of organizational communication and chains of command.
9
CHALLENGES
SERVICING OF MACHINES
Some of the machines are not frequently serviced as a maintenance requirement procedure, lack
of replacement or backup equipment in case of faulty hence posing a risk of breakdown or in –
efficiency in time of need.
As teacher not all students will understand the content at once this will lead repeation which
leads to tiresome.
Miss behaviors in class during class lesson
Failures to class assignment especially the practical’s because computers need a lot of practice
Failure to understand online procedures which lead to poor services.
Poor connection of the wires for instance connecting a negative charge with the same charge
which can lead burning of cameras.
RECOGNITION OF FLAWS
This method was used to express willingness to learn and it encouraged my supervisor to impact
more knowledge.

CHAPTER FOUR
CONCLUSION
The three month attachment exposes student to a hand – on approach to the skills learnt in
Kimasian TVC and prepares them to the work environment. It is a good way of practicing and it
nurtures one into a prepared individual when it comes to tackling challenges, performing tasks
and interacting with fellow employees. It is a good opportunity to test one’s preparedness to
undertake the demands of the chosen career and to shape them up. Therefore every student
should go to attachment.am so glad to be attached at Hudumax Ict Training Centre I gained a lot
of experience theoretically and practically. I learn much on online services which was more
interesting after I have known.
11
RECOMMENDATION
The equipment and machine in Information Communication Technology department should be
improved. As we know we are in a digital world. This would ensure every student is able to cope
up with emerging new trends when it comes to digital devices.
Student taking ICT should have a modern laptops to enable them explore their career and help
them program different programs that requires one to be creative and innovative apart from
having theory and practical knowledge.
A student taking ICT should be perfected both practicals and theory to help them deliver content
correctly. Also be able to learn more about online services as the nation is already digitalized.
