Dear Parent, Guardian, Students, October 04, 2023
This letter is to inform you that your child has recently received his or her assignments for, “The
Cell Project”. They are responsible for creating an accurate representation of either an animal
or plant cell. They are to make a cell using common household or craft materials.
All other requirements are listed on their assignment sheet.
The cell project is the first project assigned outside of the classroom this year in 8th grade
science. This project will count as a major assessment. I will be grading their projects based on
the rubric that is on the back of their assessment sheet. They HAVE to pick one of the two
types of cells.
All students must submit the project the day it is due. There is a penalty for each day it is late.
I will be taking 10 points off the grade for each day after the due date. Unfortunately if I do
not receive the project after we track back in on October 23, your child will receive a 0.
If you have any questions about the cell project, please feel free to contact me by email.
Thank You,
