NURSES’ PRAYER

O Divine Healer
Guide me to be the nurse I ought to be,
Whom, With great care and compassion,
With gentle touch and affection
Nurse those whom you entrust to me.

If in the journey of my profession, I

stumble, fall, and wither,
Lift me, assist me, carry me
And be my source of strength, courage,
and divinity.

Let every word, deed, and thought Be

filled with patience, love, and serenity
Lead me the way, Oh Lord,
To the path, not to selfishness but to
generosity And that, through me, may
this calling be,
A vocation and an offering to you, The
Great Miracle Worker, AMEN.
THE FLORENCE
NIGHTINGALE PLEDGE

I solemnly pledge myself before God and in

the presence of this assembly, to pass my life
in purity and to practise my profession
faithfully.

I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and

mischievous, and will not take or knowingly
administer any harmful drug.

I will do all in my power to maintain and

elevate the standard of my profession, and
will hold in confidence all personal matters
committed to my keeping, and all family
affairs coming to my knowledge in the
practice of my profession.

With loyalty will I endeavour to aid the health

team in their works, and devote myself to the
welfare of those committed to my care.
THEME DESCRIPTION

It is of utmost importance that the

foundation of a leader is what makes up
the strength of a community to face any
challenges in pursuit of development and
stability. This community activity aims to
gather and nurture individuals with the
potential and determination to take a step
forward, hone their leadership skills, and
form connection and camaraderie among
the rest of the community. A bright
tomorrow encompasses good leadership,
thus competent leaders are followed by
example. Such equates to good servitude,
emphasizing the relevance of proficient
leaders serving the community.
Leadership is not solely limited to sharing
a common goal but also involves
camaraderie despite differences between
people, values, and beliefs.
RATIONALE OF EXPOSURE
The program, “Ang Kahayag Sa Kabag-ohan,
Magsugod Sa Maayong Paglingkod Sa Katawhan,”
will be done as a professional requirement from
student nurses as they put their theories into work
and incorporate their skills in establishing rapport,
effective communication, and community
organizing. This opportunity with the diversified
community will be an avenue to improve themselves
through the learnings they will gain from the whole
duration of the exposure while taking into
consideration the essence of education related to
promoting the stability of the overall health in the
community. It also offers numerous advantages,
such as knowledge acquisition, personal growth,
connections, and a sense of belonging, not just with
the community but also with fellow student nurses.
As the members of the community identify the
underlying issues in their situation, student nurses
will have a chance to reflect on the lives of
individuals who require the most care and
assistance. Their adaptability in providing care will
be seen throughout the formation of core groups in
communities with diverse perspectives and ideals.
RATIONALE OF THEME
The theme, “Ang Kahayag Sa Kabag-ohan, Magsugod Sa
Maayong Paglingkod Sa Katawhan,” highlights the
principle that passion for servitude along with deep
understanding of particular dynamics, goals, and issues
within the community make the best leaders– the agents
of change. In a society, leadership is vital in order to give
structure to a society, help it grow, and develop in a
responsible manner (Lafleur, 2018). Through forming a
core group of leaders who are attentive to the needs of
the community and willing to take charge of the
development, an independent community that can
efficiently function on its own while remaining resilient
and sustainable can be achieved.

Moreover, the theme signifies the development of

competent leaders driven by a sincere commitment while
fostering an environment in which each person's
potential is realized as a catalyst for elevating the
collective well-being. According to Anna Maria College
(n.d.), “Effective leaders are problem solvers who involve
all members of their teams, as they get people to work
hard toward a common goal.” By embracing the concept
of "Kahayag Sa Kabag-ohan," a sense of responsibility
and empowerment, inspiring individuals to actively
contribute to shaping their shared future.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES

nursing, the student nurses will organize

Activity
"No Hand Cup Stacking"
Each participant is given a set of paper cups, and their
objective is to stack them on top of one another to form a
pyramid. The catch is that they are not permitted to touch the
cups with their hands while stacking. Instead, they must
devise ways to move and control the cups with their other
body parts.

Mechanics:

Divide the group into 4 with 10 members each. Then, set

up a designated area for the challenge. Each team will be
given 6 cups to build a pyramid (3 cups in the first row, 2
cups in the second and 1 cup in the last row)

There will be two points in the area. Point A will be the

stacking area, and Point B will be the team's origin.

There will only be five players each round, and they will
be tasked to deliver the cup from Point B to Point A

After successfully stacking, players will immediately

return to Point B, replacing them with another set of
players to repeat step 3.

The fundamental restriction is that nobody may touch the

cups with their hands while stacking
