1) Move the car to about 1/2 of the whole journey and open one landing door
on the car with an emergency triangle key, press down the red emergency
stop switch on the top to access to the top of the car.
2) Number the traction steel wire ropes in sequences, such as A, B, C, D, E,
etc. to record the data.
3) Measure the force of each wire rope under the equidistant state with a
200N dynamometer; for example, pull the traction steel wire rope A away
from the original place for 150mm along the horizontal direction, record the
force 120N on the dynamometer; pull the traction steel wire rope B away
from the original place for 150mm along the horizontal direction with the
force 125N; similarly, measure the traction steel wire ropes C, D, E with
the forces respectively 132N, 135N, 138N, and make a record. Each
tensioned point of the ropes during measurement should be at the same
level.
5
Canny Elevator Co., Ltd.
Elevator Installation Instruction Manual (Supplementary Sheet)
After measuring the equidistant tension of traction steel wire ropes,
calculate the tensioned average value of the steel wire ropes with the
following formula:
Where:
ropes to be measured.
In this case, the number of measured elevator traction steel wire ropes is 5,
then
120 + 125 + 132 + 135 + 138
FK = = 130( N )
5
5) Deviation of the tension of the traction steel wire ropes
That the average tension is subtracted from its equidistant tension should equal
the deviation of the tension of each rope.
TA = FA − FK = 120 − 130 = −10( N )
TB = FB − FK = 125 − 130 = −5( N )
TC = FC − FK = 132 − 130 = 2( N )
TD = FD − FK = 135 − 130 = 5( N )
TE = FE − FK = 138 − 130 = 8( N )
6) Percentage of the deviation between the tension and average value of each
traction wire rope

rusting after being washed by the metal cleanser), and then move the guide
rails into the hoistway and put them on the wooden boards (note that all
tongues or grooves of the guide rails shall be in the same direction);
3. Block up the bottom of 1st set of guide rails about 150mm with the wood blocks

▲ Alignment of Guide Rails
1. The method of calibrating the guide rail by unloading is applied for the
alignment of guide rail, with the detailed method as follows:
(a) Start the alignment from the lowest guide rail;
(b) Tighten the rail clips for the 2nd and above guide rails while calibrating the
1st guide rail. Knock the partial wooden blocks (50mm) under the 1st guide
rail off by the hand hammer, and loosen the connecting bolts for the 1st
and 2nd guide rails to lower down the 1st guide rail in order to separate the
tongue and groove at the connection of the guide rails;
(c) After the alignment of the 1st guide rail, lower down the 2nd guide rail for
alignment and carry out the alignment in turn from bottom to top.
2. The aligned position of the guide rail shall be the connection of the guide rails
and the guide rail supports.
3. Align the distance between the guide rails with the guide rail calibrator.
+2
The standard value of the guide rail distance: RG mm for main guide rail,
0
+3
RG mm for assistant guide rail (RG is the standard rail distance);
0
4. When the poor verticality of the support affects the verticalness of the guide rail,
the guide rail spacers shall be used for adjustment.
5. Verify that the partial gap a at the connection of the guide rails shall not exceed
0.5mm, as shown in the following diagram (a);
a b c
6. As shown in the above diagram (b), verify if there is any connection step at the
connection of the guide rails. When the connection step is above that required
in Table Q, the guide rail planer shall be used for planning and slicking. Please
refer to the above diagram (c) for the alignment of slicking lengths;

The car enclosure normally consists of operation panel car wall, double-side
drilled car wall, singe-side drilled car wall, front car wall, door header and upright
columns etc.
1. The operation panel wall includes integrated type (left) and embedded type
(right) according to the different types of operation panels;
2. 1.5mm thick steel sheets are used for the double-side drilled and single-side
drilled car walls. The car wall achieves its integral car sealing effect through
the special folding and bending.
Skirting Board
Car Wall Panel
As shown in the above figures, the car enclosure and platform are connected
by the skirting boards and the rivet nuts are embedded on both ends of the car
walls. 5mm gap will be reserved when the car wall and skirting boards are
connected to achieve a good ventilation effect.

The buffer is normally installed on the buffer seat in the pit. If the pit is an
accessible space for people, the counterweight buffer bracket shall be extended to the
solid ground under the pit if the counterweight is not provided with safety gear.
The piston verticality of the oil pressure buffer shall not exceed 0.5%. The
deviation of the buffer center with the corresponding collision plate center of the car
and counterweight shall not exceed 20mm. The top height difference of two buffers
installed on the same foundation shall not exceed 2mm.
