1. GRANT OF RIGHTS
By accepting this License to Publish, you hereby grant the Publisher, the Journal of Medicine and Life, the
non-exclusive right, unlimited in time and territory, to publish, republish, copy, distribute, print, store,
link to full-text manuscripts, crawl for indexing, pass as data to software, and otherwise use the
manuscript in whole or in part, including the abstract, in all media of expression now known or
later developed, for lawful purposes without further permission from publishers or authors and
to permit others to do so.

Furthermore, the authors grant the Journal of Medicine and Life the right to use the manuscript in whole or in
part, within the Journal of Medicine and Life, as stand-alone and/or with other related material in databases,
data networks, and/or social media purposes.

2. USE OF MANUSCRIPT UNDER CREATIVE COMMONS


2.1. The author(s) acknowledge and agree that the manuscript will be published by the Journal of Medicine

(http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode) (the “CC BY”) which permits use, distribution, and
reproduction in any medium, even for commercial purposes, provided that the author and the original source
are properly cited.
2.2. The Journal of Medicine and Life will clearly mark the manuscript as being published under the CC BY
License in the Journal and link to the terms of the CC BY.

3. AUTHOR’S RIGHTS
3.1. The authors retain all copyright to the manuscript, as well as all proprietary rights.
3.2. The final published version of the manuscript will be uploaded on the official website of the Journal of
Medicine and Life as well as to all databases where the Journal of Medicine and Life is indexed.
3.3. The authors retain the right to post a copy of the originally submitted version of the manuscript, the
accepted version of the manuscript, and/or the final published version of the manuscript to their personal,
their institute’s, company’s or funding agency’s website, and/or place it in an online repository (such as arXiv,
BioRxiv or ResearchGate) with the following notice: “© [name of author, year]. The definitive, peer-reviewed,
and edited version of this manuscript is published in Journal of Medicine and Life [volume, issue, pages, year,
DOI or URL].”

4. AUTHOR’S WARRANTS
You warrant and represent that:
4.1. The manuscript is original, has not previously been published elsewhere in whole or in part, and is currently
not under consideration by another journal.
4.2. You are the author of the manuscript, except for material that is clearly identified as to its original source,
with written permission notices from the copyright owners where required and with proper acknowledgment in
your manuscript.
4.3. You have the full authority to submit this manuscript and grant the Journal of Medicine and Life the right
to publish it. You declare that you have not granted or assigned any publishing rights of the manuscript to any
other publisher.
4.4. The manuscript does not, to the best of your knowledge, infringe upon any existing rights to privacy,
copyright, trademark, patent, statutory right, proprietary right, or others and does not contain anything libelous,
defamatory, obscene, or in another way unlawful.
4.5. You obtained all necessary permissions from the copyright owner or their legal representative whenever a
text passage from copyrighted material is quoted or a table, data, figure, or other materials are used. Should the
manuscript contain any material protected by the copyright of others, it is the Author’s responsibility to obtain
permission from the copyright owner to reproduce any such material in his/her work prior to its submission and
subsequent publication. You agree to supply such permission(s) to the Journal of Medicine and Life upon request.
4.6. You will defend and indemnify the Journal of Medicine and Life for, and hold the Journal of Medicine and
Life harmless from any loss, expense, or damage occasioned by, any claim or suit by a third party for copyright
infringement or arising out of any breach of the foregoing warranties as a result of publication of the manuscript.
4.7. You have full right, power, and authority to grant the above rights to the Journal of Medicine and Life on
behalf of all Authors, funding agencies, and/or employers, and you are not in breach of any other obligation
and that you have informed the co-authors of the terms of this License to Publish and that you are signing on
their behalf.
4.8. You declare that any person named as co-author of the manuscript is aware of the submission and has
agreed to be so named. You, the author, sign for and accept responsibility for releasing this material on behalf
of all co-authors and declare that statements and opinions given in the manuscript are the expressions of the
Authors.
4.9. You agree that the responsibility for the content of the manuscript rests upon the Authors, not upon the
Journal of Medicine and Life.
4.10. After submitting the agreement signed in your capacity of corresponding author, you agree that modifications
of the author(s) names and details are no longer possible.

5. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT
The authors agree to fully cooperate with the Journal of Medicine and Life in any infringement proceedings
arising in connection with the publication of the manuscript and to provide any documents, accounts, and
records within the power of their control. The Journal of Medicine and Life reserves the right to take
action in response to suspected copyright infringements, and the authors will be liable for any
costs, expenses, or damages that the journal may incur as a result of these proceedings.

6. FEES
6.1. Upon acceptance of the manuscript, the authors are responsible for the payment of the Publishing Fee as
detailed on the Journal of Medicine and Life website.
6.2. The publishing fees paid to the publisher are non-refundable.

7. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
7.1. The Journal of Medicine and Life will keep the authors’ name and email address for record purposes and
reproduce them in the Journal of Medicine and Life and indexing, abstracting, and bibliographic services. The
authors’ personal information will not be used for any other purpose and will be handled in accordance with the
regulations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
7.2. The authors absolve the journal’s Editor(s)-in-Chief, and the Editorial Board and Team of any legal liability
with respect to any and all statements made in the manuscript, including, but not limited to, any intentional or
unintentional errors, omissions, copyright issues, or plagiarism. These may be extended to third parties by the
journal.
7.3. To ensure a smooth process, it is expected that the Author(s) provide (a) valid contact email address(es).

COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT
This agreement is to be signed by the corresponding author who has obtained the signed assent of the coauthor(s)
where applicable. In cases where the authors are employees of governments, international organizations, or
commercial corporations, and the paper was created as a part of their employment, the Journal of Medicine and
Life assumes that the corresponding author is authorized by their employer to sign the License to Publish and that
the employer has consented to all the terms and conditions of this agreement.
