Students have different learning capabilities, some struggle with numerical based subjects while
others struggle with literary based subjects. Learning styles are individual preferences to learn. It
is how learners receive, perceive, understand, express, memorize and recall new knowledge.

Proper teaching styles can play a crucial role on how easily students comprehend something.

The study aims to examine the different teaching methods that are compatible with different
types of learning capabilities of students. This study explores the different methods of teaching
and how these can be utilized effectively to cater the various needs of the students.
This study also tackles about the impact of teaching styles on student engagement whereas it
closely examines how teaching methods, spanning interchangeably from classic lecture to
interactive techniques, shape students’ focus, drive and overall academic success.
The ways teachers impart knowledge to students are shaped by their unique blend of personal
beliefs, educational values, and skillful classroom guidance, thus crafting a teaching style that
resonates with the human touch of understanding and connection because when a teacher focus
on understanding and connection, student become engaged participants in their learning journey.
This method fosters trust, empathy, and respect, ensuring students feel appreciated and
encouraged. It not only enhances academic growth but also nurtures social and emotional skills,
equipping students to be caring and versatile individuals beyond school. The ways teachers teach
really come down to how each connects with students, making sure the lessons are clear and
engaging. A teacher's experience plays a big role in shaping their unique teaching approach
because for students to grasp the ideas their teacher shares so they can truly understand and get
Coldren and Hively (2009) stated that the teaching styles of teachers can affect students’
impression of their teachers as well as the students’ learning experience. Among the school
problems faced by students today, the negative traits of teachers like not teaching during class
hours and giving a lot of school works, activities, tasks and project, which are difficult to do,
when there is insufficient time to do them are some example of it. Students, especially the
“honors” who maintain their grades in school, feel pressured and burdened. Therefore, teachers’
negative attitude adversely impacts the experience of the students and their behavior as well.

According to Inayat and Ali (n.d.), effective interaction between teachers as well as students'
academic performance and engagement strategies are particular to diverse teaching styles in
different areas.
For an extended period of time, the K–12 curriculum discloses an addition to a 2-year course,
adapting to Aim Standard and Standard-Based Performance Gaps, which "supports that
educators do control qualities and characteristics of the tasks they ask students to undertake"
(Brakefield, 2011).
A study conducted by Samson (2019) showed that the result of having different teaching styles
from the teacher motivate the students to achieve the necessary goal of having a good grade. It
had been noted that students who were properly motivated and exposed to a variety of activities
were able to engage, perform well, and submit high-quality work despite the teachers' varied
teaching styles. For this reason, teachers should provide a variety of engaging activities for their
Ahmed, Muhammad, Farroqi, and Iqbal (2021) stated that the teaching styles of teachers can
affect the students’ performance and their achievements. Considering different teaching styles is
important because everyone has a different learning style too. Teaching with different learning
style will increase what students can learn. The students need adequate quality instructions from
the teacher. Most of the teachers preferred individualized learning styles to the students to
improve their skills and knowledge in learning. The result will be many students encourage to
Martin (2010) Stated that Students' academic motivation is their will to participate, learn, and put
in the necessary effort to reach their potential. Komarraju (2013) found that while motivated
students strongly endorsed the importance of a teacher being more professional than caring,
academically unmotivated students valued the "caring" trait in a teacher. The result suggests that
while students who are less motivated academically prefer a relationship-oriented teacher, those
who are highly motivated academically prefer a task-oriented teacher. (C. Keerthigha, Smita

As the students lack of focus and attention in each classes are evident and different due to the
various teaching styles of teachers, by conducting this research we will find the most appropriate
and effective teaching styles that will not only help the students learn and expand their
knowledge but will also help teachers make school an enjoyable place to be in rather than it
being a place students are too drained to go to. PAANO GUMAWA NG OBJECTIVES???
Teachers have different ways of teaching which can affect the academic learning of some
students. The teaching styles of the teachers must be improved based on the most effective style
which can be seen at least immediately through class participation of the grade 10 students since
understanding of the concepts taught by the teacher is tantamount to active student engagement.
Both the teachers and the students will benefit through this study, because they(teachers) will
learn better styles of teaching that will enable them to improve their teaching or expand their
professional skills, engage students more effectively, and make teaching-learning more
enjoyable. The grade 10 students will benefit as well for their problem-solving and critical
thinking skills will be enhanced and can lead to more positive academic outcomes.
