CAREER PATH.
Introduction
The professional career is the route that a worker takes throughout their working life; a route that can
advance over time (a professional who has several years of experience in the same sector) or, quite the
opposite. In fact, more and more employees are deciding to leave their comfort zone and change
careers, with the consequent change in the "road map" of their professional career.
Therefore, when we talk about the professional career in the resume , we are referring to the small text
that summarizes the individual's work experience , as well as the main achievements that he or she has
obtained throughout his or her professional career.
Writing a professional career , like a logline or a synopsis, is one of the most complicated exercises that
exist - especially when we have a long career or have covered different professional areas.
Personally, and fortunately, I have been working in different jobs and companies for more than 17 years,
therefore I have successfully developed many of my skills to achieve greater success in my job search, as
well as to contribute to those who employ me.
Goal setting and action plan worksheet.
1. Long-term goals:
* Action plan: continue preparing, update my knowledge, better understand the market and the needs
of the company. Take diploma courses and study a master's degree to strengthen and improve my
knowledge.
* Personal: Achieve professional growth and help my children have an adequate education so that they
have a good professional level.
* Action plan: have economic, emotional and mental stability to transmit peace of mind to my family
* Continue promoting my business by being updated on new digital tools, knowing my competition
better and improving my skills to offer a better service and final product.
2. Medium-term goals:
*Work: Practice my profession, know the company and industry where I work to be able to provide
solutions and new projects.
* Action plan: investigate or look for possible in-person or virtual courses with official validity that can
help me enrich my knowledge and have greater financial support.
* Stay proactive and perform my tasks well to maintain a good perception for the company and be
competitive to achieve set objectives.
3. Short-term goals:
* Action plan: Make a good resume, support myself with the studies I am about to finish and rely on
digital tools to find the desired job.
* Personal: Finish my degree and get a degree, solidify and concretize my business.
* Promote my business, complete all legal procedures to provide reliability of my business to my clients,
thus continuing to prepare myself to improve my skills.
4. Contingency plans:
* Work: Continue looking for other job options and contribute my experience to them without ceasing
to be something that has to do with my career.
*Personal: Seek support and/or advice from entrepreneurial friends to clarify any doubts you may have
in this regard.
1. Expand my search for companies or organizations where I can find better job options. It will never
hurt to consult friends or acquaintances to find out if the company where they work may have vacancies
for which I can compete.
2. Fortunately we have digital tools that can support us in building said network, for example, LinkedIn
where I have been adding colleagues, ex-colleagues, friends, as well as possible companies of interest to
me. Likewise, the platform has the option to upload our resume and it offers small skills and knowledge
tests whose results will be reflected in my profile to attract the attention of potential employers.
3. To help the people on my list to give reciprocity is to tell them a little about my experience and
comment on some cases that have arisen in my work environment, this way they can contribute by
giving me some advice or guidance on how to do things. . Any criticism or advice should always be well
received.
4. After having spoken with several on my list, I now have possible options in the companies where they
work. All I need to do is update topics on my resume and look for the human resources of said
companies to request job interviews.
1. Rather than having four different situations, I want to focus on one general aspect; The industry has a
lot of worker turnover since in operational aspects the work and physical fatigue becomes much greater
compared to administrative ones, therefore, I would opt for an employment campaign where, in
addition to looking for people, safe and conducive work environments are offered. support for workers
where they can continue training and growing.
2. In my experience, the reason why employers look for emotional intelligence can be for several
reasons:
to. Work under pressure and continue without problems with the company's work
b. Internal work circle, since work relationships can be complicated since each person is different and
their perception, as well as their reasoning, could clash with one's own, therefore, it is important to
know how to react and act with them. cases that are presented to us depending on the person with
whom we are in communication or working
3. It is important to have good skills when searching for a job since in each application we are selling our
skills and knowledge, at the same time it is important to show that we can provide added value that can
provide that extra and not only cover the essential minimum for any position. job.
4. Today, due to the current circumstances worldwide, the internet has been a basic tool not only to find
work but also to communicate, teach and even to buy groceries for our homes. We currently live in a
digital age, the main basis for finding employment is on the Internet, therefore, I see a great opportunity
to find a wide variety of jobs that can be a very good option for us. On the other hand, we have
conventional media such as job fairs, media such as TV, radio and newspaper.
We also have the method of going on your own to look for employment. Personally, I think that it does
not matter what means or method you use to look for a job, the important thing is to know how to sell
yourself well and show off the capabilities you have, as well as what you can contribute regardless of the
type of job.
5. The vertical trajectory has been the most common for decades, therefore, the idea of getting a job
and building a career in a single direction or company is usually the most common goal. Normally it is
focused on economic stability and recognition of our work, since someone in a managerial position will
always be recognized by others for better or worse, but it is natural that in our society many people seek
to be recognized for what they do. However, today it is important to take into account that self-
employment is a very good option, although it is more complicated than conventional employment, but
it offers good options to obtain our own assets on our own.
6. Personally, a few years ago I worked at Goodyear, where proactivity is something that is the order of
the day and the best way to support this fact is that the company is classified as a ''best place to work''
therefore The working and interpersonal conditions are impressive, therefore, being proactive and being
infected by the proactivity of others became essential.
7. We are aware that our work will always talk about us, however, political tactics are necessary since it
is essential to listen to others, but it is also relevant to be listened to. Relating to people who have
strong or higher job positions can help us boost our image and could help us make our work known to
people in stronger positions, in this way forming teams where if the team leader rises of rank or position
he will raise you with him.
8. Video calls are something recurring and essential in any job today, it is a way of ''being without being''
since a web camera helps to shorten distances that could complicate communication between
employees or people. This way we can be active and present without having to go to a workplace.
9. Having good physical condition contributes to health, therefore, by being healthy we tend to be more
proactive and efficient in our work.
10. It is simply not losing focus on having good habits and not staying in a comfort area to continue
growing professionally and personally.
Resume.
I have already prepared a CV with a practical and attractive design that I have been updating
periodically.
Conclusion.
The main challenge for searching for a job today is knowing ourselves, knowing how to sell our skills
correctly and keeping ourselves updated and trained to face the things that arise in our working life.
