a. Quizzes (multiple choices) will be given at the beginning of each lab session.
They will cover materials discussed in the previous lab.
b. Students have only 15 minutes to finish up with the quiz.
c. Written documentation is required to make up for a missed quiz.
2. Lab practical exams of 30 points each
a. There will be 2 lab practical exams as outlined in the lab schedule.
b. The exams will consist of several stations that may include specimen, equipment,
reagents, diagrams and/or slides which you will need to identify.
c. Answer sheet for your written responses will be provided.
3. Lab Reports of 4 points each
a. Students are supposed to perform all experiments and turn in lab reports at the
beginning of the next lab session.
b. All graphs, diagrams and drawings must be fully labeled and described
completely.
c. Students will lose 2 points for a late lab report.
4. Skill check of 3 points each
a. Points will be earned during each lab session for demonstration of lab skills. A
total of 30 points can be earned at the end of the semester.
b. Specific questions about your lab protocol and results will be asked during skill
check.
